Well, achievements cannot be 'global', cause each zone has its own settings. However, if the core of it can be shared for other zones, interesting things might happen. Perhaps it could record all the achievements you had in each zone. Is it using mainly a web interface / database? If so, then it would be possible to plug into it from, say, an ASSS module? However, just a suggestion... I hope the achievement requires more than 30 or 50 kills :/ Unless it's per reset... but make some epic achievements like 5000 kills. You don't want everyone going through the achievements list like a todo list and complete 10 achievements a day

How about a limit like private freqs (all of them together) can't account for more than X% of the people in pub, so private freqs can't really kill pub game.

After you refresh the zones list, all zones will appear green for a moment even if they should be red... Just wait like 10 seconds and they will turn red if you can't communicate with them. It's not impossible that you're simply restricted; you usually can't play from a school or public places, so maybe they blocked the same things on your ship.

Is it a subgame zone, or ASSS? For subgame: in server.ini, there's a directory servers configuration; make sure you have at least these two: sscentral.sscuservers.net, ssdir.playsubspace.com There can be more, it doesn't matter. When you download your zone list, make sure you're using one of these directory servers as well. If the zone doesn't appear for you, you can try adding it manually. There's a place where you can add a custom zone, just enter your IP and the port you use for the server. You can try either with your real IP ( http://www.whatsmyip.org ), or 127.0.0.1 Note that it's possible that the zone won't appear for you in the list, while it appears on other people's lists. If you are behind a router, you can read here for information on how to set it up correctly.
