I firmly believe that there is something else alive somewhere in the universe, intelligent or not. As for encounters, I believe it is very possible that these things happened. Of course, probably 99% of such things reported are either fake or from paranoid people who jumped to conclusions. There are also a lot of interesting things in history that could be related to these; like some 'gods' and such could have been visitors. Kind of like in the movie Stargate X`, why is that alien in your avatar doing this emo myspace-ish webcam pose?
