You two should try Symphony X/Dream Theater - progressive metal with zero screams. Symphony X has a very talented lineup (www.symphonyx.com), as does Dream Theater. I'm sure they have mySpaces that you can check out for tunes.

I think those statements are pretty !@#$%^&* ignorant. Just because something is mainstream doesn't mean that you don't actually like it. It doesn't make it worse music just because it is mainstream. I do agree that some of the underground bands have a good sound and make good music. !@#$%^&* my favorite band, The Lostprophets, were an awesome underground band that is now working into the mainstream. But just liking something because it is not mainstream is just like liking it because it is mainstream. There is a whole mainstream for underground music. Its like how years ago hot topic was the store for the kids who "don't fit the mainstream" now it is the mainstream. My opinion, if you like how the music sounds, rock on. Doesn't matter if you listen to Mic!@#$%^&*e Branch, Megadeath, DMB or (insert random band name here). If you like it, doesn't matter if its mainstream, a classic or something not many people know about. Nah, they aren't. And here's why. It's a great analogy. Kamelot, a Floridian power metal band is *huge* in Europe. Millions over there love them. But in the US, they're significantly unknown. Why? The culture gap can't possibly be so significant, so it's accredited instead to the fact that the radio plays whatever the radio wants to play, not what people want to hear. Most people dont' indulge in music enough to dig for it - they're musically uneducated - point being that whatever comes out of the radio is more than enough for them.

You might want to try Mind Gate - Spiral, any Blind Guardian, and Winterlong - Metaltechnology. Respectively, they are dark progressive metal, power metal, and slightly industrial progressive metal. There's so much metal out there, it'd be a shame to see you guys only scratch the surface of the underground .

Please elaborate on how to do this.

The background looks like its from Shadowness.

IE7 *is* fully released. And it's a piece of junk. Aside from not working too well with Windows Classic theme, it has a whole 'nother set of standards that disagrees with both IE6 and Firefox. So fckin' a.

Opera is still ahead of the game. Give it a try.

Because classics, at least the ones you noted, are for everyone. Music isn't about enjoying what everyone else enjoys, it's about finding something that you *really like*. You'd be surprised what you like if you do a bit of digging. Your mainstream, massively-post-produced list is pretty much a pretty bad, useless list. And here's why. The mastering on half the CDs you listed is !@#$%^&* to begin with, so even before you get to the MUSIC, the sound quality is crap. But let me stop being negative here for a minute. Let me try to be helpful. If you liked Breaking Benjamin, give the Deadsoul Tribe a try - they're a progressive metal band. You'd probably like The Butterfly Effect, Grins!@#$%^&*, Dream Theater, and Primer 55. Google 'em. As far as rap goes? Try some Atmosphere, some Hilltop Hoods, Lordroc, Stress, or Del Da Funky Homo Sapien. Oh, you might find some stuff on Youtube too. For example, search for Primer 55 on Youtube, and watch the one named "Loose".

I wondered if anyone would notice that.

Hey, as long as SOS keeps acting like this, the client will succeed out of irony and spite. Keep going SOS! .

Where is the "lack of taste" button. Go expand your horizons. Your favorite albums should not be classics.

Ok, why was Spade bad for OF? (I have this hidden love for the zone, based on a few factors, and this sparks nostalgia / curiosity )

Anything clear or brown, let's get down. Any other color, give it to your mother.

Feel free, anyone, at any time, to credit Juan for providing those models. http://www.allinjuan.com/homage.htm

NBVegita, you come up with these 'facts' that you use to back your argument, that are really nothing more than the result of a stigma that says, "Oh noes, my Mommy said it's bad!" - with no substantial backing. There are significant advantages to legalizing pot, and significant disadvantages for keeping it illegal. Stop trying to simplify others' arguments when you don't interpret them correctly \=.
-
Non-opinion based. Uh, there is an economical and social gain available. Here's my case study: alcohol in Europe vs. America. We have this crazy drinking age, and alcohol is a big deal - in Europe (pick your country, there are plenty that testify for me) it's not. Pot wouldn't be such a big deal if it was legal. Not everyone from The Netherlands is a burnout. And not to mention the tax dollars that would would be shaved off of pot profits. The point is - it's illegal because of the few "think of the children!!!" mommies that think that it's their responsibility to govern every other child on their block. Pot can be easily compared to alcohol. So no, he's not necessarily right. Make sex illegal? I'm sorry that you have taken a complete illogical, and unfounded approach at attacking this. Comparing reproduction, what is ingrained in every species to survive, is far different from growing a plant that effects you inhibitions and smoking/ingesting it. Sex is a natural body function, smoking or ingesting a mind altering drug is not. As stated in my post above, proving that it is better than alcohol or smoking, which as yoink pointed out will all depend on which study you read, if the study is pro, or anti legalization, does not give grounds to legalize it. It may hold grounds to push for illegalizing smoking and or alcohol, but it does not prove a valid argument as to why it should be legalized. No, people have sex for pleasure. To a point where it can be considered a vice. So let's make sex illegal because there are possible negative effects. Yes, that's great logic.
-
See there's an inherent problem with this argument. Repeatedly, both sides of the argument have found their idea to be true, and the other to be false. Mommies want you to see that people have done case studies to show that pot is bad, and the burnouts want you to see case studies that would disagree. And as far as my previous post goes... that wasn't what I was aiming for. It's that you put your statement in the air as "irrefutable fact" when it really is a conditional statement. -- There's a problem here. You're debating from the outside, and I'm debating from the inside. By that, I mean I've been smoking pot on a psuedo-monthly basis (and occasionally more, say during summer or vacation) for almost six years, and I have yet to see any affects on me. I graduated last year fourth in my class, after my first semester here at the university (U-M), I'll have enough credits to be a sophomore. Your friend is an exception to the majority. The same thing happens to some people with alcohol, sex, and every other vice in the world. If they made it legal, the whole stigma of it being cool would go away faster than Tom chasing Jerry. There wouldn't be a sudden influx of people who want to smoke pot - because if people wanted to already, it's not hard to get. It's maybe half a tier under beer as far as "part of our society" goes. Anyway I'm not going to debate this any further because it's just my opinion versus yours, and there's always going to be this logic that we both have to unjustify the other's argument, and justify our own.

Death, aside from being a !@#$%^&*, is a liar. Those ship models (the one you brought up earlier) were made by Juan, and to my knowledge he never released the models.
-
Says who? Just like alcohol, pot has a different effect on everyone. You don't present a case study that proves this, so I'm taking your statement as completely false.
-
I suppose that depends on where you work.

So's this site.

It would be a lot more fun driving across the country, picking up SS players .
