  1. The best norton was the Norton enterprise which penn state gave out to its students.
  2. I don't understand why this was cut out of Continuum. It makes it easier for developing settings/maps; but, can also help new player's get used to playing the game.
  3. It's a typical phishing technique; they create a website layout similar to a bank, and even the URL could be very close/misleading. It's a type of social engineering tactic.
  4. The subspace icon should point to the download; leave ssf logo alone.
  5. Bought the same desktop and laptop from dell last year; both are working like a charm - so far little w/ being a little over a year. I'm hoping Dell turned its act around when Michael Dell became CEO again.
  6. Strange; like I said no problems here, touch pad or not. :-/
  7. Yeh, Vista is a peice of !@#$%^&*. Do you even have Vista? I have it running on a desktop and laptop without any problem. Sure, it might be a little out of tune (ie: too many services/"features" enabled) straight out of the box, but all windows releases are like that. Been playing Half Life 2/CoD4/Continuum without any problem.
  8. pixel movement threshold ?
  9. I agree - no "magic numbers" please!
  10. Firstly, I'm not a C developer; secondly, I'm focused on getting the basic functionality and stability built up first. It's not out of the world to think someday I or someone else will come up w/ add-on's to either protocol.
  11. The biggest issue I face is the incompatibilities between the 2 billing protocols. One set allows scores to be saved, the other does not. The other allow remote zones to be recycled, while the other does not. One also allows malicious log events to be notified on the biller server for admin's to look into, the other does not. The struggle is to balance these things out and find a way to make them compatible without changing the way everyone is used to - trying to keep to the SSC look and feel as much as I can and improving wherever.
  12. I'd have to argue this to be on the client. Wouldn't be too hard to add, I think.
  13. Congrats! Another ankle bitter to watch out for, haha.
  14. Accede wasn't responding earlier to a goof up (log4j threw a error); please re-connect zones back in.
  15. Currently, SSC allows any user to speak on a squad chat, for example: ":#WoOgLE:.?buy skill". Keep as-is, or restrict the "official" squad chat? If implemented, the ?chat restrictions may offer a feature to only allow the chat owner to specify which squad member's may join.
  16. * * welcome back punk...
  17. as far as i know everything is looking healthy.
  18. I think there are laws that state a station can't up it's price until they refill their underground tanks; but I could be wrong on that. I've noticed several stations which don't abide by it but it's not like any law enforcement agency is going to investigate it. I just wish they'd repeal the law which forces everyone to keep the margin of the minimum price of gas the same amogst all stations. It was enacted to protect the ma-pa shops of the day, but most of those are long gone now. Let the gas wars happen.
  19. I don't see SSM zones connected; SSM LegoWars last connected, 2008-02-26 09:22:51.
  20. For those who haven't seen on my blog, Accede has been updated to hopefully fix the hanging response issue we've seen, and a biller side issue of hogging 100% of the CPU. Connect your server's and we'll take it for another test run!

  22. Doesn't matter, store owners often times don't like their customers being h!@#$%^&*led by other customers; have to becareful not to 'loiter' as well.
  23. mapping server drives O.o if you map a drive/folder on a server. it sometimes puts it as its own drive. i know. we had this at school. the H:/ drive was a server drive that was mapped whenever you logged in. the V:/ was a shared drive for all of the school/teachers. and the M:/ drive was for teachers Exactly, we use a LOT at work.
  24. Vista doesn't allow users to create files outside of select folder/registry structures without you being a normal administrator on the PC, or disabled UAC. This is one of the thing developers had to change in their applications to be "Vista" compatible.
