  1. How to cook and egg with two cell phones
  2. The point is to make it like insurance, people pay monthly for something that is not all that likely to happen often. As Root said, they only pay the fine, not the consequences of the ticket. A ticket puts points on your license, you only get so many points before your license is suspended and then you cannot drive anymore. And frankly, everyone speeds anyway.
  3. Which is why you use a hotmail account. Pretty much the only reason to have one =P
  4. ahh the next generation comes ~_^ Congratulations!
  5. It's quite easy to make an email appear like it was sent from someone else. I believe this is known as spoofing. Yes, and it is as easy as typing the email.
  6. That has nothing to do wit the !@#$%^&*ertion that you made. Let me repeat again what you said. ThunderJam makes no claim that the source of uranium is due to " AK-47s, RPGs, and stripped Soviet equipment"
  7. Where did he make such an !@#$%^&*ertion?
  8. hot !@#$%^&*, congrats and good luck MM
  9. close enough? I always find the notion of "ban all guns" to be a ridiculous idea. I mean, what do you really expect from that? A police force to go through every square inch of land, every building with metal detectors to look for guns? It is laughable. What about hunters? Or those who use them for sport? What about all the jobs of those who design, build, repair, and train others in the use of (those seminars sure ain't cheep!)? On the other hand, I find stricter gun laws to be perfectly viable and acceptable approach. Also, I find incentives (moneeyyy) for those turning in guns another fine approach to remove them from houses that really don't need or want them. Anecdot, my favorite teacher is former military, and has been saved from a mugging and high jack of his car (if not more) from a man with a knife. All he did was point to the gun in his holster on his hip and the guy ran off. No lives lost.
  10. ah, i thought u were talking USD They are at par so it's the same price. lol, I don't think you two are on the same page. Root was (most likely) thinking that you were stating Americans are paying $4.5 a gallon for gas, when that is simply not the case and he wanted to know where you got your information. It is really not clear what you meant from your statement: However, from your later post it seems like you were just trying to convert what you are paying in Canada to what an American would be familiar with.
  11. happy birthday!
  12. Interesting if Huckabee does get the Republican nomination as he asked Colbert on the Colbert Report if Colbert would be his running mate. Sure at the time he was not sitting to high on the list, but that would sure be interesting now if he goes through with that and makes Colbert his running mate (!@#$%^&*uming he'd even get the nomination).
  13. VMWare will let you run and test at many linux distributions. I don't remember which one of their products you need exactly. I was reading VMWare Player which it does not sound like it lets you do very much. I believe VMWare Server is the one you are looking for: VMware Server can create, edit, and play virtual machines. Which is what you want.
  14. I would really recommend using VMWare like Purge said. It will allow you to play around with linux and maybe understand it a bit more before you go and install it on a machine.
  15. The Second Amendment reads: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Which is not what you interpreted it to be. And really, all of you saying "gun controls are too laxed", then what exactly do you propose they do different? I am not talking ideas like "well look at Australia or England and do what they do" ideas either. The US is an entirely different place. And those for all out banning, do you really like "banning guns" is gonna stop people from getting them? Who are you going to ban them from? Everyone? Certain groups? How are they going to accomplish searching every place in the US for guns to make sure they get them? How are you going to replace the people's jobs who depend on gun and gun sales? Now I do think there needs to be some review of gun control laws and the penalties for breaking them, but I am not familiar enough with each State's laws to say what. But really, I do not see it making much of a change as kids are taking from people who legally own them. Or they had no previous signs of craziness. As NBVegita said: No matter how many restrictions you have, you can't prevent the crazy. Also, I live in Omaha and was almost there at the time of the shooting, but decided I was too lazy to go there that day.
  16. You are right, tasers are being used in situations they shouldn't be. As for less effective than simple martial arts, I find that a little funny. Most cops are not martial arts masters. Some do pursue it more than others. I know a few that are fantastic at it. Most just get trained basic holds, pins, take downs, locks, and so on so forth. Most of which require regular practice to actually use effectively vs a truely struggling foe. They also do not always work. Especially against something who has also had training. A taser will. They do not need to be "restrained and nearly immobile." You just have to hit them with it. Those simple martial arts skills can lend in hand in when to move in, or when to shoot in the case of the ranged varient. Actually, he was still resisting up until he was tasered. His arm (left arm i believe) was free and moving at that point trying to get free. Watch the video in the first post closely and you will see it. Does this mean they should use it at every opportunity? No. But it is up to human intuition to when to. It is easy to look back now and say, they really should not have used it. But what about those few seconds they had to decide? The guy has been struggling and resising for awhile. Innocent people are near by. Are there sympathizers? "Stop resisting or you'll get tazed" What if he gets a lucky shot with the free arm or a good kick? He's broke free before. People are moving around. He is still struggling. That arm is still free. "Bzzt" You prolly took more time reading that than they had to think. Tasering him was in all likelihood not necessary. They prolly could have taken some more time with little incident to restrain him. But it was a non-lethal choice of action to quickly end the encounter.
  17. Yes, that's it! sweet! anyone know who ran that one? I loved the graphics and ship configs for it. The dueling and team dueling that happened there was really fun for me. sad but true i really liked A Small Warzone. It was getting developed sometime before SSCX had its unfortunate event. But then just stopped. Also, Downtown. Something about firing a stream of bombs to fly backwards was hilariously fun.
  18. Was swr the zetasquaron zone?
  19. Robotech? I really liked the settings in that one.
  20. back when you could actually tk yourself.
  21. True, it's not like the name 'battle' is unlikely to appear in a game where you blow people up. Also, Battledrome is a kick!@#$%^&* game. Makes me want to play it again. edit: also again! it's silly to say peopel copied bot commands. a similar event is going to have similar bot commands, regardless of if one is aware of the other. I mean really, there is only so many different ways to do something! And if someone is aware, they may want to use the same/similar format so people are familiar with it.
  22. that was a pretty nice and calm post dta considering all the flaming directed to you. good luck to you. just stay calm and clear headed and I'm sureyou'll do fine.
  23. They are quite far from being the same thing. But that is beside the point. Think of it this way, the mods are like the police of their respective zones. They are the law for their zone. Sometimes they uphold it correct, sometimes they don't. But if you test the patience of an officer, you better believe you are gonna feel the backlash from it. What he did was knowning push that officers buttons by going into that arena and afk'd so of course he was going to get *killed to kick him out of the arena. As I said before, there is no command to force a player to another arena. As for the mind your own business comment, you posted in a public forum. You are asking for people to butt in. If you don't like the comments then don't start stupid topics looking for attention.
