I know, but there's really nothing else to say. It's some sort of anti-virus or another program causing it. Even random things like Warcraft 3 have been known to create this problem. What did you install right before you encountered this problem?

You have packetloss from your router. My guess is that it happens in other zones too but, you just guessed and said it only happened in MG to have a case. Are you using wireless?

XP: (!@#$%^&*uming you're in thumbnail view atm) Go back to list view and then switch back to thumbnail view while keeping the "Shift" key pressed. Vista: Switch to Details view. Then press and hold the SHIFT key, and from the "Views" drop-down, select "Medium Icons". Close and reopen the folder. And as I said, it may or may not change the folder settings right away. You'll have to close that window and go back to see if it worked. That was it.. you just confused me the way you explained it the first time. Cerium searched Google and found it. My Google searching skills just suck. I searched forever and found one topic from some guy with the same problem and had no replies. Anyways, you were technically the first person to come up with it. That's not even possible. Obviously a glitch or an illusion. You guys should look up those mazes they make with plasma grenades and gravity lifts on custom maps. They're pretty sweet.
