  1. Someone really needs to take some initiative. I don't give a shit who owns the zone, I just want to play it again. SSCV Devastation has deathball in ?go deathball with green MG ships and settings if anyone wants to get a fix in the mean time.
  2. Solved. Created a custom resolution (reg hack) to use 1440x1024 and all seems okay. Thanks for the help! If anyone wants to know how to do it, contact me in game.
  3. Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking. The only time I've seen a DLL init fail is like you said, when Windows is shutting down. However, I have no idea what language that is.
  4. I agree. It's not my fault I can afford a 23" monitor and most of TW can't. I don't mind the res limit, though. It's just retarded that I can't use 1280x1024 because my screen flashes black. Do you have any advice?
  5. Never did solve this. Anyone?
  6. If you can honestly say that you've performed a CLEAN install on your hard drive to attempt to solve this issue, it's about time to start ruling out software issues. Before we do that, do you have all the drivers for your system? See here: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000833.htm RAM issues are known to cause random errors in applications and Windows in general however, it's rare that it consistently causes the same problem for one specific application. I would run a memtest on your RAM just to be sure, especially considering the age. Does anyone know if this can be an issue with his version of Windows? Not sure of the language, but maybe it's an incompatibility? Just saying.
  7. Have you tried installing to C:\Users\%USER%\Documents folder?
  8. Well, Trench Wars LD and DD arenas only allow 1440x900 or smaller. 1440x900 sucks because it's just not tall enough! 1280x1024 is the best res, but it flashes on me. =[
  9. It's like continuous though, randomly. I thought about changing my desktop resolution to a 4:3 resolution prior to opening the game, but I haven't tried it. I have an Asus 23" 1080P LCD monitor and an Acer 22" LCD monitor.
  10. Seems when I use a 4:3 resolution on my 16:9 monitor, my screen will flash black randomly for about 5 seconds. Why is this and what can I do to fix it? Radeon HD3300 ATI Driver version: 8.631.000 Happens on my other PC too.
  11. Strange problem. Have you tried the 9800 since putting in the new one? Doesn't make sense that it worked at one point in time, stopped working for no reason, works in another computer, but doesn't work in yours. I know it doesn't matter now, but you should always try to reset the CMOS when you're not getting POST.
  12. Can I have some information on your computer? i.e.: Operating system, GPU, RAM, etc.
  13. Is your Esc key sticking maybe? That would exit the zone while it's loading. Are you receiving any write error messages when it exits? Try running the game in windowed mode.
  14. Yeah, alby is my bff. I hope it's really him!
  15. Good point. I didn't take much of a look, or actually recommend that specific motherboard, as it is out of stock. Just linking towards something that he may be interested in. =]
  16. Alby alberto????????
  17. So you prefer Intel? That takes a big chunk out of my available builds. No problem, though. Let's see here... Full ATX case without question. Too much cooling required for a mid tower. If you don't mind lights, take a look at this case: Antec Twelve Hundred V3 Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129100 I trust Antec with anything. Although, I do not own this case, Antec doesn't steer you wrong. I have an XClio WindTunnel..it's actually pretty bad ass, so that's an option too. It provides extra cooling for your GPU with 2 side-mounted 250mm case fans. Motherboard really just depends what kind of features you need/want. You're not overclocking, but you have an insane budget. Take a look here: EVGA 131-GT-E767-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 SLI 3 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188068 Core i7/DDR3 support. SATA 3.0, USB 3.0. Tri-SLI. RAM can always be upgraded at a later time. DDR1333 is your best bet if you're not planning to OC. Some motherboards require an OC to achieve a rate of 1600+ anyway. G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL7D-8GBXH http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231440 G.Skill is an up and coming name in the memory industry, backed by a lifetime warranty, as are most manufacturers. Motherboard supporting SATA 3.0 is another way to future-proof a system. Now to cool your i7. One of the simplest and best water cooled solutions for CPU's. 18. That's stored in your profile settings. Just open your profiles and set your default resolution and it should save it.
  19. Happy Birthday~!
  20. Bring it back!
  21. Eww.. I saw a lower end video card with a fan idle at 77C. Popped the heatsink off and the GPU burnt the back of the heatsink. It's probably a defective card. If you have onboard video, try taking the video card out and running with it instead for a few days.
  22. Any disk errors in Event Viewer?
  23. What kind of crashes? BSOD/Reboot? If so, upload C:\WINDOWS\Minidump so I can view. Also, why in god's name are you using Advanced System Care Pro?
  24. Run it in Safe Mode with Networking so we can eliminate a network issue. More than likely, you have a firewall or anti-virus program blocking it, even if it is disabled.
