Depends on what you consider an attempt and how far back you want to go. This should be a really awesome tournament - its going to be 1 day only so theres not much effort required in terms of meeting dates, just show up and play on just this one single day instead of having to worry about multiple rounds on multiple days spanning weeks.

I was happy enough tm liked my new map Speaking which, I gotta finish making an update to it.

Give me a late november/early december date, and I'll start spamming on the news.txt, website, and get t-man to write an entire page about it on the website. And i'll make sure there are periodic messages too in the zone.

There is no way in !@#$%^&* tm would let me change the gameplay that dramatically ... nor do we even have enough players to do that. Its a good idea, something i've considered in the past that would keep jackpots and the general idea of flagging. But I just don't seeing both tm and I agreeing on this one ... ever.

Why not just buy into it, and other players can buy into the same one, unless its full. Its not like people can figure out WHAT private freq you are on as long as you dont pick an easy one.

Post them here, along with a discription of exactly what you did/were doing at the time of the bot not doing what it is supposed to do. !buy freq Goes back to my idea for the bot A player has to buy their way onto a private freq - meaning they need credits - meaning they need to flag to earn those credits. Could make it a fair cost - 10-15 million credits - and you stay on the freq for as long as you dont leave it (whether due to you speccing, lagging out, etc).

ssbase.com has a form where you can get the pw reset as long as you can prove who you are ....

Maybe we should bring back private freqs of 5 people maximum - so if you want to win - you can make your own team and go for it.

If you want a big weekend game, I'd try to stretch it out as much as possilble - start at 10-11pm EST already on saturday

Oh, NR, forgot to mention, ur suggestions about buyables are noted - I just can't change them right now When my bot is rdy I will be able to but i've having SQL problems.

Please submit all of your thanksgiving/christmas/new years bases here such that Deva can have maps made early enough for them!

Avast, Halloween is a much smaller holiday than chirstmas/new years hence why the map was down already - plus the fact was I had time to change it now so I made the most of my time, as you said, I dont play often and I dont have time to do these things often, so I used the time I had to give you normal bases. The goals were changed because the general concenseus was that nobody wanted them - from what I've read on the forums. Anywho, the US thanksgiving is coming up in 3 weeks or something - if anybody feels like making a turkey, headless turkey, cooked turkey, and some other things as bases - i'm sure JDS and I can get a week-long thanksgiving thing going. Then start submitting things for christmas - and we'll make sure we got something nice for that too again.

We could make KOTH only available with jackpots under 10 million points. Once it goes higher theres no KOTH.

Then the flags would be a freebie - I guess its a good way to get a team that may be doing very well out of the base and gives you a chance once you die to get the flags back

Well its possible - but i'd have to spawn off a duel bot for the dueling arena to keep track of who wins/losses. That is more effort - especially due to the fact that I may also have to keep track of many people wanting to do the same thing at the same time.

I probably should have said this when I was posting, so I'll say it now. When I am asking about the new map - want I want to know, is that if all of the halloween releated stuff is removed and we just add normal bases into it, do you like it. From your cons Hak I see only these easily fixable problems: 1. Two Goals -> easily Added 2. LVZ - will be completely removed (including pumpkin) 3. The tiles around safe zone do need to be fixed 4. The tileset can be altered to accomdate the other tileset more (get rid of the rounded tiles) 5. People were saying there were too many buyables - i'll remove buyables that don't matter anymore and add new ones 6. Map Size - with normal bases I think this size works really nicely so I do not think this is a problem - but I may increase it by about 10% to give a littel bit more room 6.5 - I like the fact that bases stick out of the map - but also don't like it because if we do a base change, it involves more work to make sure the bot knows where the noflag zones are. 7. Antiwarp - good - you can't run so that will allow the teams a better chance to get flags and win - as far as I am concerned I like this. 8. All of the usual SSCI devastation and text will be back.

So how does everybody like the new map design? If everybody is happy with it, I can make it a permanent fixture in deva with some more typical deva bases ofcourse instead of the halloween ones. Let me know what you think! XDOOM
