    Will we beat 17th?

twas syrus posting spammy spammy some 10 times... i absoltly did not quadruple post after that.
  4. here are my reasons. 1. he never signed the keyoto agreement and doesnt seem to do much about polution meaning the rest of the world has to put up with his inaction. Being the richest country in the world you would expect him to be able to afford to give grants and ini!@#$%^&*ives to busnesses, inpose laws and cut emissions. 2. He won the first election with a minority vote, just doesnt seem fair to me. 3. the iraq war, my reasons here have been discussed so i wont write them again. 4. His damage to the US economy, seems as though he is ignoring thisaspect of things due to the "war on terror" . Seems like some priorities need to be sorted out here, sort out your own country before "fixing" others. 5. the way he uses his world power, the leader of the international superpower has alot of influence, it could well be used to call for an end to 3rd world debt, reliving fammine, bringing peace to people at war by hosting peace talks and offering all the neccacary support to both sides to put things right. Instead he goes on pointless wars...

  13. sounds to me like its just a laggy route to the server, unfortunatly not a lot can be done untill things sort themselves out. If anyone has anyother ideas on what it can be they will post and suggest further courses of action.
  14. true there would have been a mess, prehaps just as bad as this one but at that time saddam was breaking international law and did pose a threat to his neiboughrs
  15. i agree, many people dont know what the other side is fighting for. in reality they feel their way of life is under attatck and feel it muct be defended at any cost for all muslims. Suddenly they dont sound all that evil do they?

  18. wow something i 100% agree with. However i feel option A is the best, if US bases are left in iraq the nation may be seen as under the western influence making no less of a target then it was before. If the US and UK take option A iraq will be able to restructure itself around the sociaty thats left witout any americans there and will nprobably be left alone, just thiunk al quidea will follow america, if they arent in iraq it wont get them very far considering america wont come running back to fight them.
  19. plus in the process they got most of the way there, iraq was on its knees and the perfect opprtunity was thrown away.

  21. thats the point im tring to make, i am not saying removal of saddam is a bad thing, i just dont think the reasoning was valid and the timing was right. Alot of problems could have been avoided and alot of lives saved in my view if the war never began and saddam was removed by diffrent means. Before you call this "america bashing" i am also "bashing" my government as well, many people in the UK didnt support the action of blair to go to war but he did anyway.
  22. the only problem with the insergants is the problem wont go away, many are willing to fight untill the blood of every last one is spilled. Thats a lot of sacrifise, just shows how strongly they believe in their cause. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4199363.stm This was an intresting incodent The reason they are against it (information sourced from various news articles and do!@#$%^&*entaries) is because some muslims believe democrocy is agains islam. This is because the law and sociaty should be based in their view around the knoran and nothing else thus rendering the need for an elected government useless as all parties would have the very same policy. They also believe that anyone running for prsident is tring to become a demi-god and any voters are infidels. just thought id add this, havent seen any other posts describing what the insergants are fighting for.
  23. It works like that in many countries. Here is a link so that you can get up to speed on how it all works: The politics of fear I couldnt agree with this point more. I do not deny that terror is a threat to any nation of the world but i feel the situation has been exaggerated some what, i feel that this is probably delberate. This can work very well for bush, he is seen to have an active and decisive course of action against terror and thus with a constant fear they will want to reelect him. It dosent matter if the threat isnt as bad as people think, its the belief that people have of inscurity that bush needed to mask the state of the economy and persuade voters to reelect him.
  24. did you just try that there ed?
  25. i think you are forggetting the reasons for going to iraq that were stated, it was proposed to the UN that iraq had WMDs and was capable of being a threat to other nations. This is now undaoubtedly wrong. The humanitirain issue was never the principle reason for going to war. If it were things may have bee doffrent but the UN did not give support for a war on the WMD evedance put forward.
