Strights dont want to marry same sex though do they? it is still descrimination. i agree with you there, however i think they should be able to have something equivilant that allowes them to have the rights of married couples.

Is war in Iraq worth it? No, where are the WMDs? Where is the link wit al quieda? Have we forgotton bin laden and afganistan? the situation isnt much better now to what it was before, allowing a people revolt would have been the best option. Is Bush handling the situation in Iraq? its mayhem, terror and violance fail to be controlled effectivly so no. Is Rumsfeld doing a good job? is he capable of it, i doubt it. What about the elections? Should they be held at the end of January? Yes, or perhaps sooner is conditions permit. The sooner the better so america can get out and let things get bact to normal. Bring troops home or wait until order is restored? Should Rumsfeld be replaced? yes, somone that can add more balance to bushes rediculas decitions is needed so we dont end up in this mess again. i always love these things taring the bible apart. One of my favorits is this. If adam was the first man, and eve made as the first woman. They are not related and thus may marry and have children. The only people on the earth of the next generation are the children of adam and eve and are related thus cannot marry and give rise to the third generation. how do we exist? will clear bible bashers in minutes apparently (never tried it myself) anyway on the topic of gay marrage, i think most of the objection comes from the homophobic. Welcome to the 21st century, its quite sad that people are catigorised in this way still. Their sexual preferance is no reason for discrimination, i have some friends that turned out to be gay but to me that doesnt matter, i dont se them any diffrently because of it so why discriminate them? They shouldnt be married "under god" being as the bible doesnt agree with gay marrage, thats fair enough being as marrage has a religous aspect however something that equils marrage in status and rights should be avalible.

is it really neccacary to bring that up in each and every replay? you will always get extreemests on both sides, i know somone in the student room opposite me that will never turn their radiator on to save energy (he is doing an environmental science degree) whilst a management student down the hall leavs his on all the time and his light on whilst at lectures.

One to five degrees in 100 years? I think we humans can handle that even as we are now. No evolution required. Evolution works as fast as it needs to. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> evolution just works, if the cahange in environment is rapid enough then evolution cant keep up and mamny species will perish. Evolution is a very slow process, it works because genrally the environment changes slowly. There are many arguments that the world will hat up anyway, and it probably will but we are speeding up the process and much of the life on earth wont be able to handle the climate changes that will result. That one to five degree change could cause massive problems, ice caps melting, gulf streem shutting down... it may be a small temprature change but we dont want to know what happend next. You seem to be stuck in the age old argument of "it wont make any diffrence to us" but experts predict that by something like 2040 if we dont sort things out methane from under the sea bed will be releaced and at that point there is not second chance because the effects will be irreversable.

agreed, cloning to make a copy od one self is stupidity however the stem cell potential is huge when thay know enough to get the ideas working. Accually its the DNA replication that causes the errors not translation of mRNA to make protien. Our cells are not perfect at copying the DNA which is why we get cancer. Kinda a trade off for evolution really... understanding how these things work alone is huge in the world of science.

i thought this may be an interesting topic, we all have uor own views about things but thgis has to be centerd around something you believe all politacal systems and moral issues should be centerd on. My belief is that people with power and influence should push toward a peaceful and most benifital solution to any problem where this route is posible. We are a a social and technilogical stage now where we can do so much to bring thew world together in a more peaceful climate and all benifit from one another and this should be promoted. We can do one of two things, protect what we have in the world and improve the flaws in the grand acale of things at the sacrifise of companies profit in some cases to protect and improve the world, or go for the most profitable and easiest methord at the sacrifise of everything that is, was and will be.
