Yeah that could work....Just make direct hits do huge damage, but completely disable prox and the prox death counter. This way its not a complete annoyance to those who have purchased it.

BW is just the name of the squad. The duels are pretty normal, no specials, no entering bases, pause between kills, first to 5 wins and they take place in the bottom right corner of sector 8.

This sounds like a better idea than fully scrapping balling altogether. Balling might not serve any purpose in basing, but it does occupy anyone who can't get on a basing freq, while still earning them some cash, and it does help out in making some quick money if there isn't a team of vets goaltending
