  1. Yep, and Wraith Squadron. Tycho and Jagged Fel are some of my favorite characters. And Garik "Face" Loran.
  2. My name Tycho Celchu is still taken after 10 years, and no one wants to tell me if the asshole even signed on once in those 10 years. Whats the point of keeping a name locked up if no one is using it? It was my name in 2000 but I lost the password. Either the name was never used, and it just never expired, or it was stolen and someone guessed my password.
  3. I'll donate next year, seriously in debt now.
  4. Is this the latest version? It's not decompiling all LVZs for me. Not sure why. I sent the LVZs to a friend and it debuilds them for him.
  5. Motivation that is by a project basis, dies fast, and you might start a hundred projects and never even finish one. For example as an artist, I draw many pictures but I don't often finish them unless my motivation goes beyond the project. By the way this starting and never finishing is a byproduct of bipolar disorder. You can feel free to research this if you are curious, don't bother me about it. But I'll quote something quick from Google. "- Many people with bipolar disorder find it's easy to start things, but ... start a million things and never finish them,” says Don Malone, M.D." Also keep in mind I may not even acknowledge some disorders, I believe in mind over matter, that many things can be overcome, and definitely drugs aren't the solution. But back on track, a real motivation is humanitarian. If you genuinely want to help people, do something for others, give them a gift, you will always finish your projects. Sadly there are not many people around any more who are not selfish or have that much of a heart. This is a byproduct of the new generation.
  6. Well closed source basically what? Wants to sell the product? Restricts the code, and says if you want to buy my product your not actually buying it, but only buying the permission to use it. I think closed source developers would still give credit where credit is due though. Anyway I totally respect your views on this and agree with you. Can't disagree with someone who is right =)
  7. What exactly is closed source. Open source, across the internet. Closed source, code available to one person. My point was if you wanted to code and Richard Needed the help he would make the code available to you. So is it still closed source if 20 people have access to all of the code? Probably yes, but it's closed to 20 people who can be trusted. Rather than just one guy. Even without access to any of his code, he could claim while I'm doing the networking/security end, I need to make some progress on the map editor, and turn that whole end of the project over to you in hopes of getting things done faster. Sure you don't have access to code, but you can make your stuff and it will be included... Open source doesn't necessarily mean more innovation, I can give a game more innovation than a whole team of coders, just by giving them ideas. Just because you can C++ and know some math doesn't make you good at designing games, or implementing them, or marketing them, or anything really. Most coders I find are seriously lacking in other areas of life and education which will hamper their ability to make a good game.
  8. Just sign up to the beta team, and ask to help? http://www.phoenixusc.com/board/misc.php?page=main_index
  9. Why are people still trying to find solutions, like steam green-light, making their own clients or trying to revive coding for other things that are 5 years old and forgotten? There is a solution that already exists called Phoenix =/ Why not support that? Why not make graphics or code for that? Richard being one man, coded none stop and made a good game. Not that anyone dislikes it, but I'd like to re-enforce the idea that there is no reason to hate it at all. It's like a Playstation 3, which is backwards compatible. You can still play your Playstation 2, SNES games on it etc. Basically meaning that you can set up a zone on it exactly the way it is in subspace. Except this time with tons more options and features. Chat features that were none existent, would exist now. Mapping features would exist that were impossible before or took way more time. And he is including buy menus, so zones who want to sell upgrade items for ships, can display the item, and sell items in their zone, maybe even for real cash. But by all means code code code, the more development no matter where it's directed, the better.
  10. Wow very nice!
  11. Is there a way to edit the graphics here? I think i can make something nice. =/ Did continuum have a skin editor?
  12. http://www.phoenixusc.com/board/misc.php?page=main_index You can sign up here if you want to beta test for Pheonix, not sure Richard would see your post here for months.
  13. My pain is my motivation.
  14. Hyperspace through out time.. lol bad title. You'd need an electron microscope to find it on a time chart of the world. Humanity's time here would just be a dot. Unless you mean your life time. WHICH is still a bad title, unless you started playing when you were 2 years old. =/ I see hyperspace as one of the few zones that actually gets things done. Whether they make poor decisions or good ones, at least shit gets done. Overall from the past until now things have gotten better in HS as far as balance and game play.
  15. Simplify! http://imageshack.us/scaled/thumb/689/4kli.png
  16. for the technologically impaired. http://mg.subspace.net/deva_wallpaper.jpg Or if your screen is so small you can't see the save button. =/

Cheese is always good at summarizing.
  18. Just because he says he was cheating still isn't enough for a netban. Eating bullets in an arena isn't really proof. And coupled with him admitting he is cheating is good enough for a zone ban. But for a netban you need to know for sure he was cheating. I thought there were ways to check if someone is cheating? Polix and other mods used to say there are ways to know for sure. If you knew for sure then his netban would be for a year or more. If his netban is like 3 months, that's proof that nobody knows shit and just banned him for the heck of it. heh So seriously, either extend his ban, or lift it.
  19. Looking good, now i'm impressed =p
  20. i dont have an ignore text, no need when everyone ignores me. Reverse psychology..
  21. Actually i think the lowest levels of hell were thought to be cold.. fire is more of a middle/beggining part.. At least according to dante's inferno.
  22. Damn if i don't get netbanned soon people will start breaking my records. Anyway if you were banned for typing my personal message to whoever banned you is to lift the ban. Bans for anything other than cheating is why continuum will die. No one gets banned anywhere anymore for typing on the internet. Unless you are new to the internet and super sensitive or unaware of what happens on here.. which makes the guy with the ban hammer the real douche. (if that was the reason) Though it's likely if typing was the reason, the person who did ban you will lie and say you cheated etc. Since they have the power to ban they can easily make up reasons and rules on the spot. At any rate, typically harassment involves evading ignore, and you wouldn't deserve more than a 1-2 month netban for that on first offense. Secondly, if it was typing, the most one should do which is STILL excessive, is a zone ban. But none of this matters because once phoenix client is done there will be a system in place to deal with minor offenses or offensive people that doesn't require bans at all. In fact such a system could exist on continuum (but not readily). As it requires some coding to make an auto gag system that will recognize your ip and other information etc. And auto gag is much worse than a ban (believe it). Phoenix will replace this outdated game and its poor ways of handling community and development.
  23. By hijacked, simply if you had an account there, and logged in, you could view everyones e-mail, might be limited to your own squad, but i was in a few squads throughout the years. Logging on would grant me access to everyones e-mail in the squads i've played for. But sure i'll send you all the e-mails i have by e-mailing you. Keep in mind probably 60% of them expired. You'll probably get a lot of mailer-daemon failed to deliver reports back. A good idea is to contact the Hockey league, DSB league.nu, and any other league website admins, and ask them for e-mail lists. As they will have tons of e-mails from people who registered for the leagues over the years. Also your representations of subspace zones just won't be complete without Hockey zone. Try get something from Hockey zone.
  24. I had over 500 e-mails. But most of my e-mails i got from DSB league site back in 2008 etc. I assume you already visited league.nu and hijacked all the e-mails.
  25. Could you put the author information at the end of each description, would be nice to know who wrote it, or contributed to it.
