The American system is more precise. If you tell someone you're 2 meters tall, first of all they're like wtf! stfy you metric noob! Then they also have no idea. But if you tell someone you're 6 feet tall, they understand. Also, centigrade sucks because theres so many Fahrenheit degrees in between a C degree, and if you say, But C is based on freezing/boiling points, I say, STFY because only for one substance in the entire world. The thing I hate the most about metric is significant figures. "We have this data to the thousandth place, but to keep it in sig figs, we're going to round to the nearest 100" How much sense does that make?! I mean COME ON![/rant]
