Haha, MG knows this well. And $100 USD is redundant.

I would like to see pictures of your apartment because 1600/month is RIDICULOUS. It better jack me off for 1600 a month or at least be in all gold. The average price for an apt in Pittsburgh is between 600 and 800 for a two bedroom apt. We had a 3 bedroom duplex for $750 Housing in certain parts of California is ridiculously expensive. At $533/month per person, it's a lot cheaper than the dorms at my college. I don't have any pictures, but it's not too shabby, not too luxurious either. Nice-sized living room, small kitchen, a good-sized double bedroom and single bedroom. If I could find something cheaper, I would.

Short answer: no. First off, where is this? My roommates and I are paying $1600/month plus utilities for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, and we think it's a darned good deal. I think that you will find that the security deposit will be quite large (the amount is not mentioned). I think the improvements will be more hassle than they're worth. Also, do you really want to live in a house? The free time is not specifically stated, nor is the reduced rent. If they were really good numbers, they'd be in the listing. In terms of time and your gas, doubling or tripling your commute time is probably not worth it. It also seems like you might have to convince yourself that you want to live there and that this is a good deal, in which case you should not live there. Edit: Strikeout! Edit2: Okay, that house does look pretty cute and nicely remodeled from the pictures, lol.

MG didn't have a paid copy of IPB (the same forum software SSForum uses) and got busted on it. That's the story I heard, at least. Happened over a week ago, still no forum or any announcements on the site or in news.txt.

You just shot yourself in the foot right there. I mean, look at these guys! http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m222/legoblocks/misc/who001copy-764268.jpg I wouldn't trust any health care statistics coming from them!

Regardless of what the solution is, it's a problem when money weighs into personal medical decisions.

$10.75 in California. It was good though.

Yes, the "0x" prefix typically means hexadecimal. You convert it to a decimal number just like you would convert any other base 16 number in middle school. Oh, right then. 0x56 = 5*16 + 6 = 86 0x4F = 4*16 + 15 = 79 0x4C = 4*16 + 13 = 77 Though depending on the application, the binary representation might be more useful. 0x56 = 0b01010110 0x4F = 0b01001111 0x4C = 0b01001101

Like Cancer said, it's important to know what you'll be doing on this computer. Otherwise, I'm inclined to say a computer is a computer. I do think you could either get better specs at the same price, or the same specs at a lower price, though. To Lynx, I don't think there's anything wrong with buying cheap PCs. Rather, I think it's a waste of time always wanting to be on the bleeding edge. I use a 3-year-old Compaq laptop heavily, and the only trouble I've had is swapping out a fan when it started making a little noise. It's always been fast enough for me as well (I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I do run some mean engineering applications). The only component I would not cheap out on is the hard drive. Anything else you can easily change out if it fails, without losing much. Edit: BTW, am I the only one who thinks 500+ watt power usage is ridiculous for a computer?

From what I've heard from someone at Idealab (one of Aptera Motor's angel investors), the Aptera is more marketing that vehicle, and still has a lot of unsolved engineering problems. Haven't looked into it much myself, but from just looking at it I can easily imagine lots of things that would prevent it from getting widespread use.

FYI the meaning of "short bus" is not nationally known. I didn't know about it until my roommate from the Seattle area told me, we had a different name for it where I grew up. Back to lurking....

I don't know if it's against the rules, but the fact that this is even a problem shows that all of you have about the maturity of kindergarteners, except you know about sex.

When I was in the UK and called Orange, I was on hold for a long time too. I think I eventually gave up.

South Korea. Why couldn't you look that up yourself? Took about 5 seconds.

I drove home and had a day-before-Mother's-Day dinner out.

It's quite easy to make an email appear like it was sent from someone else. I believe this is known as spoofing.

The list of Subspace players whom I would even consider meeting is very short. Most of you aren't on it.

Good job! Many of those commands are software-specific though, perhaps it would be best to subdivide the article into Continuum Commands, Subgame Commands, and SSC Biller Commands, with a bit at the top explaining it. Also, I don't think the letter !@#$%^&*les (=== A ===) are necessary. I think it would be more readable and convenient if more commands were visible at one time, with less separation between them.

Mmm true that. Didn't think that you can [[link]] things without them actually being there. Important to remember here that if we're aiming to be encyclopedic (are we?) then the pages don't really belong to anyone. I think there's some bit in the rules that says "no defacing others' pages" that should be changed, because the pages about players shouldn't "belong" to that player.
-
I don't think it would be a good rule. Not everyone is going to think of all the articles they know something about (to contribute). Seeing a link to an article (even if it's blank) is a cue to write something there if you know it!

Yes, but they go by the name of SS Council.

Can this page be renamed to SS Council? See http://sscouncil.com I'd do it myself but I don't know how (or maybe I don't have permission).

Thanks for letting me post this Polix!
