We're also the best Lancs. So why would someone whose only experience as a Lanc is in an overpowered build and someone that has never anchored or rushed, who also doesn't even play the zone anymore, have more weight on the matter? We are very good at several aspects of the game. Bursts are essential. We're not abusers because rushing is only but one of many roles to be filled during a flag game. Essentially, there are two classes to be assumed: rushers and campers. They are both very important and so is maintaining a balance between them. Without this dynamic, the game and the strategies behind it would be simple and boring. Let's stop calling this a nerf when it's really a debuff. And that buff was fairly recent. People have Lanced very fine before this buff. You can defend yourself from rushers if you just keep moving. You should not be able to just sit there and not have to worry about it.

Quitting when things aren't easy? That's why it was nerfed. Lancs could just sit there and tank all bursts and coffins. Stay on your feet. Don't sit still. You can stay a live if you stay aware, even with a stock Lanc..

Heat was a neat concept at first but the decision to use it to keep health and shooting separate really completed it. It conforms to modern gaming mechanics. It makes a lot more sense. I liked the idea of ammo when that was implemented a few years ago. Although, it was expensive and a chore to keep up with having to keep buying it. This is a way better alternative. Items will be easier to balance. The different aspects of your ship they affect won't have to be considered. It would also increase the variety of items.

Dr Brain, please restore Hyperspace's population adjustment. It was incredibly handy. You can see if people are playing just from the zone list. I don't see what all the fuss is about. You can clearly see the zone's true population count. It's not like some obscure number is being added. It only appeared when people were in ships. That in itself is the single most useful feature to come out of this whole shared arenas fiasco.

A huge part of this game's appeal for me is the command interface. No thanks.

Yes, reset please. Also, normal rewards.

Does this Lone Outlaw idiot even play HS? Does he have any idea what balance means? When something is broken, it needs to be fixed. You could save yourself a whole lot of time if you stuck to the forums of zones you're actually familiar with.

Why bother going through all this ruckus when you know you were doing something you shouldn't have.
-
It's getting ridiculous. Flag games are nothing more than a spending contest now. Whoever buys the most fields and bricks wins. Fields should be effective with strategic placement, not shear volume. We're reaching endgame and with double rewards people have way too much disposable money. With fields and PD, there are some serious balance issues that need to be hammered out. I strongly advise you work these out before continuing development.

With the double rewards and creep to end-game, the disposable income is quite sizable for some liberal players. Field abuse is rampant and warrants the cooldown to be reinstated. In my opinion, 60 seconds would be appropriate. Enough to keep a single person from subjugating an entire game; requiring a concerted effort among teammates to clear a Lanc and its AD.

Re-introducing the concept of competition in Hyperspace
P Nut replied to Psythe's topic in Hyperspace
I don't agree with duel boxes in pub. There is no room and I'd rather not sacrifice a basing sector for it.
