  1. One of my very very favourite bad aussie horrors, because it is so very very bad, is Outback Vampires (part 1, rest follows)
  2. Aussie horror that shows playing subspace isn't the only thing we're ridiculously shit at! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8NzZsX-twA (part one of Houseboat Horror, all parts follow, its one of our most laughed about movies)
  3. For Death Incarnate: Deadville - zombie horror/drama from Northern Ireland - pretty bad, scoring is bad, but the story isnt bad : Zombie Wars - this is one of those "omg this is the worst movie i've ever seen." "so are you comin in, then?" "gimme an hour and a half." movies : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYqUJYGAiIA I thought Andy Milligan's Carnage was on here somewhere too, but I couldn't find it.
  4. Pet lobbers on sale cheap for xmas pressies. http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/9834/xmaszig.png
  5. I as a crap player actually do even worse in DZA settings but I like it much more because there's an opportunity to actually work out what the hell I'm doing wrong. Plus a good player will actually meet me for an exchange instead of just ignore me because even they feel there's more "honesty" about the fight, knowing that a couple of shit shots could get them into trouble against anyone.
  6. Ahhh I know those ... the bastards!
  7. It was a heck of a lot of fun playing shipwars 2v2 in the one with no toys. Spewing on occasion that I didn't even have a rocket but that's my own frailty. That was in the 2v2 circle map lifted from old Alpha > Battle, which was also a great blast from the past. Could just imagine how nuts folks like Okki and Paonan, mbsy, etc would go if they knew this existed. Was trying to think of other ideas for wars. One thing I wish existed was a damagewars option. By this I mean; if you take damage, it does not recharge. Energy drop from firing, thrust, etc, that would still recharge as per normal. But if you get hit by fire, that damage stays with you 'til you die. (Might want to start ships on 4000 or something in such a case). Doubt possible anyway, separating post-dmg rech from post-nrg-expenditure rech is assumedly not possible. Anyways, loved it Psy. Keep up the great work.
  8. 1. What's a slider hole? 2. Saw your latest incarnation of the map at ?go mashup yesterday, Aesop. I quite liked it. We should give it a whirl sometime.
  9. ?go battle !next pie

  14. We did #2 once before and it was pretty awesome, a lot of fun. I think it was received well by many too. It was called something like "SVS98" weekend or something like that.
  15. o/ Arry ... ahhh the days Great promo video ... I dunno nuffin much about twitter ... only use it for local sports scores. But will spam this on the book of face.
  16. Not all of us fit that mold.
  17. Ok well for what its worth I have to make it clear it is normally me who yells and screams and twists his panties about getting the powerup flag game on. I'm just a random pleb and my vote shouldn't count anymore than anyone else's. But here's my reason(s) WHY. My MAIN BY FAR problem with flag games AT ALL is that it colours the radar dot of the flag holder, red, regardless of bounty. MY most common modus op in Chaos is to insanely chase high bounty (meant to read: hard to kill ship) and try to kill it ... or even help get it killed by some1 else. For this, its handy to use target and see which dot is the bty dot. When it (or anyone else) has flags, this is of course made more difficult. Best case scenario would be for two different shades of red so you could see if a flag-carrier was a bty as well, but that's not possible. My main problem with the jackpot flag game is that it can encourage people to sneak around avoiding contests and just looking for flags. I think that's one of the things Sue says, too. I'm not aghast at it, but waiting in safe/spec/nether reaches for other people to kill each other (and raise the jackpot), and then go snowdropping for flags is kindah akin to linebombing from a distance. I think that if you have 7 flags you shouldn't be able to pick up a flag, you should have to kill for it. But then opponents will just refuse to touch the flag .. etc etc ... I also agree with Nine about the bty points for 0 flag points. Lol, that's just a bit crazy. I am glad that points are SPLIT over flag winners on the freq, now. That's one good thing. People were inviting pals to their freq just to share the points, including ramping up their squad points, crazy attitude. Finally, why do I like powerup flag game over jackpot flag game? Because years ago when I dropped into Chaos for a die or twenty, thats what I saw. My experience is that the powerup flag game was the more usual. Maybe I just turned up at coincidental times, every time ... I'm for the odd reset with one flag game, the off reset with the other. It seems Chaos has salvaged both from different old zones (speed and jackpot?) and its good they survive, so give them both a go. (I reckon)
  18. I'm always going for kill/death ratio.
  19. Especially with some lag-arsed 300ms aussie floating around inducing random prox Imagine firing a lvl4 at sunburst, people would explode in other zones!
  20. I'd be happy for the brass to toggle them ... one or two resets with one flag game, then one or two with the other. Just mix it up ... Zig ... if you stayed in your lev you'd get lvl4 .. or 5 ... or some shiznit, I was hit by one of those a year or two back and a lamp post shattered outside.
  21. definite yes. The other flag game sucks balls and is a blight on everything, even other blights. At least toggle which game is on, reset by reset.
  22. on my chamber door
  23. Ethylene! = zone
  24. As a non-chaosian I have little to add but of all the names you've given, I can say I saw Gruntster around oh about six or more months ago. Helped fill him in on what names he'd missed and whether any were about.
