You're physically capable of giving birth before the age of 16 (hard to believe though this may be). You are NOT physically ready for alcohol in any serious quan!@#$%^&*y. You are allowed an alcoholic drink at the age of 16 provided you're served it with a meal or are given it with parental consent. Laws apply in the UK, check if you live elsewhere. The voting age in my opinion is just plain wrong. With the current low turnout rate I'm surprised it isn't lowered anyway. I'd much rather people be persuaded not to have children at a young age than have it forced on to people. Its the only effective way of enforcing it anyway.

Akai, finish your forum skins... we're all waiting on it, just do it already!

mister manners, look up the word "Checksum". Of course since you "have the source" I'm sure thats not a problem.

"defining tiles u want" is not too laggy and Priitk has it earmarked for development because he considered it easy to do. One of the few times I've heard him reply. I have no idea why you think it would lag.

Nemo, the overhead for working out the acceleration for ALL the ships would be too great and would cause horrendus strain on the server as well. I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm saying that it'd lag like -*BAD WORD*- even on a network with fast computers. The end result is a purely aesthetic effect. Why bother?

Which type of power plant should the US/Canada build?

One of the consequences of using fossil fuels which I regard as horribly neglected is that a majority of our polymers are based on Oil. No oil means no "plastics" as we know them today. No PVC, no Polythene, Polystyrene, Perspex, PET (as in the bottles) etc. We might find replacements for a lot of them but there are some things that we will lose if we devote all our current oil supplies for fuel consumption. Also note that almost all schemes for recycling plastics as of now are small scale/unsuccessful due to the difficulties of bulk sorting and reprocessing them. -
I reject the idea of 1 law for the world because the cultural differences are just too big and will remain so. Easier for enforcement is not necessarily better and I do not have faith in your draconian ideals. Monte please explain your views. In England the AoC is 16 and I have no concerns about it being so. But then again we are a welfare state.

Sorry I'm too tired/lazy to go digging for you... http://www.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,...7,35848,00.html Here is a starting point. You have a date and the kind of figures given. Go look it up for yourself.

Well make a better editor. And hurry up with it!

Ah I see. Again it'd be possible with Your ship but not on enemy ones and again its not of major importance.

The supply of nuclear material is insecure (its just on normal unguarded/low sec freight trains) so whether there is a direct attack on the station is irrelevant. The fact is that the more nuclear material you use the greater the chance that something goes wrong, intentional or otherwise. Of course you get the same scenario with oil spillages but its easier to clear up and it is less likely to kill humans. A solution based on nuclear power will not gather enough support to become viable and we still have disposal and control problems that aren't being fixed any time soon. As a side note, planes can be filled with explosives oddly enough but thats beside the point because you would need a reactor leak to occur at the same time. I'd be more worried about the disgruntled employee. Sure there are failsafes but there are ways round them and I'm willing to bet that nuclear technicians know all about them. -
Seperate posts and a complete lack of sales figures of any description say otherwise. Common sense really.

No Vile, don't do it.

Something like that. Think lvz format. Its on Priitk's to-do list and he seemed quite happy to put it in so it will Probably be done. One day...

Yes but how can you tell which person is which without messenging them? Impersonation would be easy.
-
I disagree but we can't reboot the universe to find out which one of us is right. Ohwell.

*sigh* Graphics can be customized by people with a brain and a bitmap editor. This includes the standard Paintbrush for windows. Please don't slag off Priitk for not doing something you can do yourself. Addendum: I think it might be possible to botch a sort of fake roll effect by having the rolling animation being used whenever an enemy player turns. It won't be the same but it would allow for some new effects such as the "barrel roll" that someone asked for. I don't see it being implemented though.

Sorry, its just that your reply made no sense at all in the context of that site. The link was provided for general interest, not to support a particular argument.

I feel you're horribly off topic there. Try and concentrate on the practical implications rather than the moral side. I don't think a 14 year old can raise enough money to support a child unless there are drastic changes in child labour laws. If there were pregnancy leave from school at the age of 14, I think most schools would be half empty by now, and if the fathers were allowed paternaty leave.... Also, what should the stance be on gay/lesbian sex seeing as neither leads the conception? If pregnancy was the main deciding factor on the age of consent then gay sex would be legal from birth. Setting the law on natural events such as puberty is difficult because these events vary from person to person. Also, it still doesn't take into account that kids can't work as mentioned before. Any more view? mad.

There have been other leaks (check Japan). The effects of Chernobyl were extreme and are still persistent today. You cannot rule out another leakage, especially if you factor in deliberate attempts to cause a leakage for whatever reason (disgruntled employee, sabotage, terrorism etc.) Countries can only be considered to be disarming if you're looking at America/Russia. India and Pakistan, North Korea, god knows how many other countries are arming up. I would say that the odds favour of at least one of these countries experimenting with reactors. Wether nuclear power is safe or not is debatable but the bad press has lead to the scaling down of the construction of nuclear powerplants. I do not see the trend reversing without a major campaign, definately not in the next few years which means that nuclear power will probably not become the dominant source in the US/Canada. -
Not possible due to the fact you'd need to know each players thrust. The lag would be horrible.

Help! How do I gets groups of people to come to my zone!

There isn't a set method or else we'd have "Subspace 2: The Movie" in the cinemas and subspace booths on every street by now -
That'd be nice. I'd like a cross biller ?find etc. as well. That'd probably be impossible because logically 2 different billers could have 2 different players with the same iden!@#$%^&*y. Ohwell.

My clock is probably running a little fast but I'd say his hour and a half is up... I think HTTP tunnelling is going to be quite low on the devlopments priorities/feasibility list. Perhaps it'd be easier for you to *ahem* tweak the firewall a little (or even simpler bring a modem in and play by dialup account at lunch). Probably completely illegal but much more likely to succeed. Or you could do work in school

True but I'd rather not go down to Borders. I'd rather sit at home. I don't know what site you're referring to Silk.
