See, the way you are making my bases out to be are... -Completely overpowered for defense -Have never been able to be taken over from defenders -My bases basically suck Look, I'm not going to change anything I am doing. These bases are no where near as overpowered as you portray them. I've been making bases for 2-3 years now, I've seen bases games from 4-5 years ago, and I've been watching closely at base games since then. which brings me to when you said this... "Remember back in the old days, when bases when required to be a heck of a lot wider in ALL areas than some of the bases you've used?" If we are talking about the same 'old days' then the bases I remember are a lot smaller then the current bases we have now.
  2. Except for the games in narrow bases like base 3. Those always lead to a quick, easy victory for the defending team, unless the attacking team is remarkably stacked. If you want defenders to have such a ridiculous advantage that only heavy stacking can deal with it, I guess your 'formula' is working well. I was told by Brain to make bases the exact way you are portraying them, I remember him saying a while back when he hired me, that he wants quick short base games. I don't know when this was changed. But I guess spidernl is never wrong, even when it comes to my base making field.
  3. As of now, I am not changing the base formula. Wider does not = better. Right now it seems that the bases are working, and working well at that. The multiple 15v15 base games we've had in the last couple of days are a good indication.
  4. Changed the brick alive time from 1750 (17.5 seconds) to 1400 (14 seconds) to stop brickwinning.
  5. So what I've done, thanks to some help from unix... Changed the formula that adds bounty kills to the jackpot from 33 to 120. What this means is that say you have 1000 bounty (riiiighhht) it will add 120 to the jackpot. Now, this seems very minor, but with kills happening all the time in a flag game it will add quite a bit. Also with 20 bounty it adds 2 to the jackpot. Spidernl, if you find this too much, or would like to make a change in the next few day, use ?quickfix jackpot But how about we give it a few 'big' flag games before we go changing it back.
  6. Then they'll ask like they do when there's no one on their team and they're alone in center. The difference is, it'll encourage the players who do know what they're doing to actually flag, rather than to center and wait for a flag game. With this, we could possibly have a message saying something along the lines of "You have been specced for not being in a sector, try using ?lancs or switching to a non-flagging freq"
  7. Don't worry, I'm not going to touch your precious item sets. I was talking more like what I have done with the ball. I.e More friction has been added to make it a bit easier to ball. I'd prefer if you don't jump to conclusions. thx ;P
  8. You have some good ideas, but I am looking at taking smaller steps, for now anyways.
  9. How would you, as a player improve the zone? What would you guys like to see be done to the zone? map wise? item wise? setting wise? Anything. Just post some ideas here.

  11. flager maker: Every time kevinz uses ?flag (or) EVERYBODY FLAG then everyone is automatically set into a flagging freq. Cooldown: 1 second!

    1: it is near impossible for me alone to move the warpgates. 2: i don't really care what people say, i will listen. But if they dont want to prove their statement, then its all garbage to me. 3: nano killed the zone like this... a ) people buy nano, but don't want to die due to +1 cost. b ) people lame by staying back and not rushing during flag game. c ) lanc gets mad at people not rushing and quits. d ) repeat step a-c to ruin zone. At least take out the +1 death penalty. If you would like to help me move that warpgate, it would be nice spider, instead of telling me that this and that look like they MAY be wall hackable, when you are put on a tile from being warped, it moves you up and to the left, putting you in the center, not outside the map.

    In my opinion nano killed zone, I'm doing what I can to try and put some spice back in the map. Unless you've tested it, don't say stuff like "you could PROBABLY wallhack" It's not really getting me anywhere.
