  2. The freq thing... 1 person priv is great, prevents runwins =D Only problem now is that 10 person per pub? Good for centering, but FG's have become flank games. 1 defending team and 3 attacking teams. One attacking team gets cleared by another team that's flanking while they're getting flanked while that first attacking team is heading back to the base. Defending teams have become invincible.
  3. Bounce on PD would be absolute rape in enclosed areas like bases in fgs. I just got the PD and it's a pretty fun gun (once I finish outfitting my lanc I wanna see how a turret full of PD ships works out =P. ... shut up it'll be fun and I know enough of you out there have a PD on one ship or another.) Pros: +Ammoless gun, no need to buy ammo, that much isn't too big a deal anyway but nice. +Energyless gun, don't have to worry about shooting energy which is a big plus. +Independant gun, you can shoot bombs, thors, reps ect anything else without having to worry about shooting/not shooting +Good refire rate +Really painful l4 +Cool concept and it is fun Cons: -No money from PD kills when detached (which is one of the only ways to mess with it's aiming to get kills).. though detaching is probably just a bug anyway -No bounty from PD kills, kind of obvious -Doesn't shoot too far out -PD shoots at the wall in bases or minibases -Shoots at empty space after an enemy dies -Anyone flying in a straight line (that isn't directly towards the PD) will avoid every shot. Anyone flying in circles around the ship with it will not get hit. -Takes an extra spot on the team. Meaning if 2 teams of 10 'players' were in a flag game, and on freq 1 two people had PD, there would only be 8 actual players on freq 1.
  4. Great against leaks but bountyers? Someone who's bountying will already be set up to attach to their lanc, they'd be tractor beamed away and attacked. If they're quick enough then they'd just summon back to their own team's lanc. If anything it would probably be used to summon thor stormers... !@#$%^&*uming flag carriers aren't allowed to be tractor beamed.
  5. Why is Syrith so aggressive on the forums =S I think it's a great idea, it's not uncommon to see newbs get frustrated and give up quickly in this zone.
  6. Thor storms can be annoying, but antiwarp clears that up. At least it would if ?attach wasn't broken. Having a lanc with good armor can block quite a few thors. It's not glamorous but lancing never is. I'm sure it's been mentioned but I'm not big on reading 4 pages of text to catch up so... Right now ?attach is the biggest problem with basing, one leak and you've lost 2 flags. Two leaks and you have to find the enemy base. Three leaks and your done... if it's a priv freq, you'll have to do a lot of running to stop them. By then it's not a flag game anymore. Once ?attach is fixed, there'll still be runwin problems but the bigger problem is that when a flag game actually starts, the top players in HS will bunch up on one team to bty. Making the rich players richer and the poor more frustrated. If something happens and they do lose, they'll hop. Stacking is just annoying and causes other teams to quit. Don't believe me? Click here
