I think it would be healthy for HS to have more events hosted. I have a few ideas that wouldn't be hard to implement here and I would be willing to help out wherever needed to get it going. Here are some real simple events that past zones have used before. For instance, we could have a Brick War type event. It would need it's own arena/map. The map would need to be smaller than pub's center to make it harder to hide or run. Anyone could design a good map for this. Everyone is on their own freq Everyone plays the same ship (warbird or jav) with the same settings. (no shooting, just thrust and brick) Everyone has, lets say 10-20 bricks (normal bricks, no special bricks) Map would have a safe cage everyone starts in then the mod can randomly spawn the players in the battle area to start the event. Event rules are easy, Last one left wins. Don't get brick warped. If a player is brick warped they go back to the safe cage and cannot re-enter. (You could lock all of the losers on one freq) Winner gets a cash prize and maybe a small bit of xp. Red Star used to call this event "GTFO" but HS could make it's own map and have it's own settings and name it something else. this event is also fun. Fun in HS = a good thing. We could also have ship war events where pre-built ships are used in a free for all (everyone against everyone using the same ship) with like a 10 death elimination. Last one alive wins. This event should also have it's own map. Just an idea to make the zone more fun.

I know the buying complaint is tired but I think there is some validity to it. Having to buy ammo completely kills the population in the zone when it starts costing money to try and get a kill here and there. Example, I come into the zone at 11pm EST and there are only 3 or 4 people centering. I try to play but then realize I am spending more money shooting bullets, items, or bombs than I am making by killing the three people online. So, to not waste money, I leave the zone. Durring a 4 hour period several others enter then leave the zone for the same reason. No one wants to waste money. Also having to go to center safe or an ammo depot in center and losing your bty to buy ammo kills any chance of making good money durring a flag game. This makes flag games almost not worth it UNLESS you are defending but the other freq usually wises up and quits feeding the defenders. What happens next is the defenders get bored or impatient and decide to win a pathetic JP so they can go back to centering and try to bty there hopefully. I know Dr. Brain said the push was to shorten flag games but I can't honestly think of one good reason to do that. I know a few people don't like long flag games but I would bet that most people that play perfer them. The potential for a good payout is always there with a long flag game. I would at least make it so we could raise the JP significantly by milking flags or something. It seems like the only way to make any decent money now is to have a good ship and vulch !@#$%^&* the center arena and try to bounty up. Thats fun and all but there is little skill in that whith all of the WBs that just run and SoP all the time. Flagging is when true rushing or defending skills are demonstrated. I don't expect anything to change but I figure if more people offer intelligent and reasonable points to the issue then perhaps some of our suggestions might be considered or viewed at least. /end rant.

The space guild logo looks funny. It doesn't flow well.

Rechargable bricks might cause flag games to last longer and the current push is to shorten flag games.

LOL @ Whitewolfs vs 3 Timestrain squads.
-
I think there are some players missing from your poll selections. I could be wrong.

15, 3, and 12 for sure. The one that is not numbered, that one would look tight if it was light blue like the others.
-
3, 11, and 12 look real good.

Well, I for one appreciate your efforts to help the zone Unix. People, including myself, will always have suggestions, opinions, likes, and dislikes.

A sniper's bomb wouldn't have prox because a good sniper would know how to aim and use his radar. A L3 bomb with prox is a noob's bomb.

LOL @ Server crashes evening the teams.

Does anyone here have a favorite Arcade game? In my city we have a "barcade" ( It's a bar and they have arcade games) that has a bunch of old vintage arcade games like Missile Command, Donkey Kong, etc. I have the high score on the Tron machine right now.

Why is there a push to shorten flag games? There is less money to be made that way. If the Jackpot grew larger then I could see that being profitable but currently a quick flag game doesn't pay very much.

A smaller map is needed or bigger bases. I like the idea of it being a post flag game event. I think that would work very well.
-
I think there would be more turrets again if this happened. Then again, perhaps not since all you need to do is cage brick a turrect then field a coffin.

I agree as well. This will give more players an opportunity to participate.

I currently am a QA tester for a Development company that makes MLS systems for real estate boards across the U.S. I've been doing this for about 3 and a half years now. If HS would like someone to help test bots or new features I would like to contribute. I would be available after 8pm EST on weekdays and some weekends throughout the day. I love this game and have been playing it for about 5 years now and would love to contribute anything that would help keep this game alive. Feel free to PM me here or in game if anyone has any questions they would like to ask. Thanks.

Was it fun? Yes it was fun. There was a lot of teamwork and communication on my team and that made the game play more rewarding. Was it more fun than main arena flagging? I wouldn't say more fun but equally fun at the very least. Were the rewards good/fair? I thought so, I've seen the new graphs and they look fine. How was the map? The Map needs a lot of change. I am sure you will get many suggestions about this but here is mine. In order to keep the current item sets and ship settings useful I would put minibases (or normal bases) in each sector. Perhaps one large base in one sector that contained the majority of the flags and minibases in all of the other sectors with less flags. This will keep a good fight in the large base and certain items and ships will remain usefull and then a team can have a few defenders or scouts for the smaller bases. If the reward scale is good, then those smaller bases will be important for getting the big money. I think that would be a good mix. A good team would need good basing ships (Lancs, Levis etc) for the large base and fast ships for policing the smaller sectors. Would you like to see it become the public arena? (after your other concerns have been addressed, of course) I think it should just be an open sub arena. That way people will have an option to play what they want wether it be flagging, centering or playing turf.

Has anyone thought of maybe putting ammo depots in the bases? Also make it so you dont lose your bounty when you purchase ammo. The depots could be placed right out side the entrance and then another one in the flag room. Make them non-safe zones so there is no way a lanc can go afk and let people summon back to the flag room etc. This would allow higher bounties for attackers and defenders.

If anyone needs another dueler on their roster, I would like to participate in this. I will be in-game around 8pm EST everyday this week.
