    There's a setting there Sharpflame, but I'm not actually sure if Continuum honors it or not. Regardlessly, the proposed change (freqs 2+ having a different limit) could be coded, but will not be. The two team limit is there to make my testing easier, not your lives better. When all my desired changes have been implemented and I feel the system is where I want it, I will restore private frequencies. I will not restore them earlier, and I will not keep the pub-only system longer than necessary. Pubs will be restored when ready. No sooner, and no later, no matter how much you guys complain.

    Fine. We won't accept any player items because neither of us have enough time to do so. We're not adding new items when I haven't found time to update the map in the two weeks I've been promising to do it. You didn't talk about the reasoning behind the item, like why it's needed and what niche it will fill. I think it's a bad idea. It will make shark rushers that much more annoying. It'll allow people to basically pay their way to a victory.

    If you see a $0 kill message, type ?killmessages twice. I don't know exactly how the problem crept in, but that's the way to resolve it.

    Added periodic rewards for teams holding flags. Again, this is only as an incentive to flag. If it becomes the goal of flagging, it will be changed/removed. Started work on a way to increase Lancaster earnings. Still a work in progress.

    To be specific, high exp people will get exactly the same exp in center as anywhere else. Money is the only thing that changes.

    Money from bounty now works in the center and only the center. This will be removed if it interferes with basing. It's simply there to give players something to work for when flagging isn't happening. The losers now get 20% of the winner's reward. The winners still get the same amount. The exact ratio and distribution method may need to be changed, but for now it's fine.

    I've disabled the neuts are owned by the team, since there are more ways to abuse it than I would have guessed. It may come back at some point if I can fix it. I've also disabled private frequencies for the time being.

    As per http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=21799 I have started changing things since the population didn't increase. Guns and bombs no longer consume ammo (though they still require it be present for various technical reasons). Gun and bomb sell prices were raised to their buy price. Ammoless guns and bombs got small energy boosts, since the rest became ammoless. Shrappinger is the exception. Neuts now drop owned. Kill rewards are based solely on experience. Flag rewards are based solely on population and team and enemy experience. No jackpot.

  22. Your post suffers from many misconceptions. Resets have very little to do with population decrease. In fact, around a reset the population has always spiked (minus reset #3, which was an exception due to special cir!@#$%^&*stances and probably before all of your time anyhow). Making money easy is not a solution to population problems. It might boost population in the short term, but would become boring and dull within days or weeks, essentially forcing resets every few weeks, something I've never been willing to do. Bases become popular by being so overpowered that they are used to the exclusion of all other bases on the map. Popular bases are bad. Move on, they're never coming back the way they were. Ever. Basing needs players. Without players, there's no basing. So the fact that basing has been dull is directly related to population being low and will not be addressed as a separate issue. Good mods require good players. Since we have none that show the right balance of maturity, patience and commitment, we can't hire them. I'd rather have no mods than bad mods.

    Cussing has no place in this zone. The rules have never changed. Mod enforcement has grown lax, but that doesn't mean you won't get punished if they happen to be non-afk.
