First make sure that you have set a correct resolution in your profile settings, it should be the same as your desktop resolution settings. Try running the game in windowed mode or full screen mode. Make sure your video drivers are up to date and directx is running properly (or update it). You can run dxdiag (Start/Run.../dxdiag) and perform some Display tests to ensure that Directx is ok.

I believe the netops (net)ban people for cross-zone spamming where cross-zone spamming can also be done via chats. I seen people get netbanned for this reason on several occasions.

Caress, Telson and Pernille, I decided to not start developing the website until I know for certain that KI will draw some base population and is not going to die. I don't want to risk that I put alot of time and effort into a website that will never be really used and be removed once the zone dies. You are still welcome to use the webspace if you decide to have someone else work on it. Nonetheless, any staff is still welcome to work on the site. If you signup and give me a message, I will give you administrator so you can already gear it up. (For example you can put information at it and design the menus and such.) If it shows that some people are willing to work on the site with me and are prepared to put time into it, this will be an extra push for me to work on the template design. I believe I had the same problem with a set of old video drivers. Make sure you have the latest videodrivers & directx. Nonetheless, I still see the effect now and then with certain graphics (fine lines for example).

Any help is appreciated but I need to lay a basis myself first. I am planning to use Joomla (Mambo-variant) to gear the website with (because its a good cms and has 90% of the functionality we need), but I'm not all too sure yet.

Nope, it might look like that but it isn't so. I never made any rules (except a few), I only made sure I and other staffers kept to those rules. It was my job as smod/sysop back then.

I think you need to learn how to use it this way first, lisa. You shouldn't be able to keep x-radar on all the time while you are fighting, it should drain energy since its an extra ability. Try to blink it on/off to see where a cloak is and then try to hunt it down.

Hi, I talked with Telson about a website for Killer Instinct and I realized I'd love to help the zone with that. (Yea yea, I quit SS but I still miss it now and then.) So.. I already got the server, enough webspace and enough bandwith (paid out of my own pocket). All we need is the domain. I don't want to get ahead of things but I think if we donated a few cents someone could buy (rent) the domain real soon. It's only $8.50 for a .com per year. What about sskillerinstinct.com ? As for the website itself, I already got a neat template to use but I need to talk to CreatiX about that first I don't want to step on anyone's toes/plans if something is already being organized; I don't mind to back off Thoughts/opinions/remarks/actions ?

Just use http://stats.trenchwars.org. It _always_ contains the most recent list of servers if the directory server goes down. If someone wants to make a page like Syrus suggests, I would be happy to program an interface to get the data out of stats.trenchwars.org. Someone should put up a stable directory server to use aside Priit's one (is there a stable java one around btw?).

yea I noticed it in IE aswell (FF doesn't show any problems). Maybe you can try using the .gif version, mx?
