Make sure you have spyware doctor disabled/uninstalled, I believe that's the source of your problem. (Remember reading about it before) You probably already tried disabling Nod32 and Zonealarm?

Running the game with "Run As..." option isn't really a solution since it will only create more problems due to Windows's anti-write protection. What firewall, anti-virus and anti-adware software are you using? Any other software you are using and running on the background that might conflict with Continuum?

We think that this problem is usually caused by an anti-virus, anti-spyware or anti-adware scanner. Try to disable these programs you have running and see if it helps. [Moved to Technical Support]

I must agree that Dreamhost isn't the best host for VPS or dedicated servers but that isn't their primary service. I have a VPS myself and I must say, I'm not doing alot more on it then hosting websites on it while it also takes some of my time to keep things updated and running. Shared hosting isn't much different if you are doing primarily hosting (imo). Dreamhost does have a different / custom panel but it works pretty well once you get used to it (I have used cPanel and I'm using Plesk on my VPS). EDIT: lol D1st0rt beat me to it

They used to have such a thing but not anymore. Now if you only block the system or let it hang you will be contacted but even for such a forum that won't ever happen. Nonetheless, I choose Dreamhost because of the price. Not alot other hosts can give the same for the same price. (incl. 1and1)

I will check if it's possible. EDIT: It's possible to give permissions (including domains) to a user when creating what's called a "web id". You can also restrict a certain user in disk usage. Concluding, it's possible but very different from what you are used in cPanel.

I would really recommend getting hosted at dreamhost.com, Polix. The prizes are very cheap while they provide a quite reliable service. Furthermore they have good support and lots of extra features you won't find that quickly with other hosts (for example; subversion). You can't really run programs at this host though, you really need a VPS for that. (I have one too which I primarily use for hosting due to the RAM limitation of the VPS.)

Well right now you can't select it when moving a topic so I figured it got disabled. How about make a secondary user group/mask that allows people to see it or not? You can then select which people can see it (like me)

Don't run on 60 Hz if you have a CRT monitor, run at least one setting higher. (60 Hz will give you a headache for sure)

Such a thing is already done more or less; usually the people who can netban aren't always online so cheaters are always first banned per zone. However, if a player is found doing it in multiple zones he is netbanned. SVS/Swift can be more clear about this though.

Have the bot play in a ship without any cloaking abilities, it should detect it can't do it itself. Your bot might lag out or warp funny if it doesn't have the right permissions to the zone. Check if it has VIP access (vip.txt) and sysop access (sysop.txt) and if the IP of the machine running the bot is on the botip= directive in server.ini . Vip access is optional if it has sysop access and it logs into sysop when logging on. (password*sysopp!@#$%^&*)

I don't know about an installer which installs the deprecated .37 alongside the .38 and .39pr1 but it sounds fishy to me. I have no problems at all with .38 alone (I almost never use .39pr1). When you do alt+tab you are switching from the graphical Directx environment (and probably different resolution then windows) to the windows environment. It's possible that your screen goes black by various reasons. A few to start with; maybe your screen can't handle the sudden change (so try to use the same resolution and bit depth as your windows environment), other thing is that it could be related to Directx (try to run some dxdiag tests and see if you have the same problem), last but not least is that it might be related to your video drivers but that is probably your last resort. BTW, you forget to mention which Continuum version you are using. If you are using .37 or .38 - try using a newer one (.38 or .39pr1). Good luck
