  1. U forgot to put bold.
  2. Yea I agree some cool lanc items that actually help the team would be nice. Maybe also some items to help clear leakers or something like a low delay l2 bomb. But yea the idea with the the recharge is smart, that way the anchor can help out its team's rushers and maybe the forward lanc if it's in a pinch.
  3. YAY I LOVE MYSELF! I LOVE OTHERS TOO! Let's go kill each other on Outpost 2 !
  4. I love you.
  5. Sorry I thought my compression it that meant a good thing but now it won't actually work as a logon ... I'll upload a new version soon
  6. I think there are enough, there are many good duelers in the zone but since most people only duel for cash (as there isn't really any other incentive) most of the mediocre/crappy duelers are scared out. And yes by losing a duel you lose a point. if you beat a player once and you had even scores it is pointless to do it again right after. I know it might seem strange to have such a dense scoring system, but it will work better as there can only be one person at the top and everyone below will be rightfully fitted into the pyramid. (I'm thinking by around 10 points you'll be at the top of the ladder) Also losing a duel to somebody with higher duel rating than you won't take away a point. Edit2: Resets of the ladder would occur when the top dueler has dueled around 85% of the pyramid. (This of course would be assumed and not actually calculated)

  9. I think the current Dueling Point System should be revised. Currently you start with 1000 points and as you beat players you gain/lose them sort of based on how much they had. The flaw with this is that it doesn't really reflect much as you can get a very high rating by beating a bunch of noob players with 1000, and if you get a high amount of points you can lose them very easily by dueling somebody with only a few points (somebody who doesn't duel much) but is a very good dueler. I think a better system would be a point system with simple rules that go as follows: - All players start at 0 points - The only way to gain points is by winning (no spec bs) a duel with somebody with equal or greater points than you. - 0 is the minimum amount of possible dueling points - The maximum amount of points to gain at a time is 1 - Losing a duel to somebody with higher points/rating than you will not do anything - Losing a duel to somebody with equal or more points than you will decrement your rating/score/points/whatever by one *- [Maybe] If you beat somebody with more than 1 point difference than you you gain 2 points and they lose 1 point. This will make the number of total points always increasing. This will create a very smooth ladder scheme where the only way to gain points is by challenging tough opponents, and the tougest opponents can just stand at the top in their greatness. Reasons why this is awesome: - Being high in the ladder will not discourage a challenge from somebody with 0 points as if they beat you you will only lose one point - Being at the bottom of the ladder means you can only gain points - Points will better reflect the skill of the dueler - It will be impossible to gain a high duel ranking by fighting weak opponents Dueling points should also be reset every few months to create fresh ladder schemes. Perhaps the top ranking duelers of each ladder will gain a prize (something very small and unobtainable, like a modified version of shell, or the ability to buy a more severe parasite or something) Edit2: Resets of the ladder would occur when the top dueler has dueled around 85% of the pyramid Edit: I think this kind of dueling scheme will encourage people to duel as their place on a ladder will actually have some value and bragging rights. It might encourage more players to the zone due to more competitiveness being involved.
  10. I am saying that the doors be used under the minibase and most definitely NOT inside of an actual base.
  11. Is it possible to time them so the start from one side and open/close in order to the opposite side? Edit: Imagine how epic that would be if you have flags and you want to go through and you're racing the doors but they are closing slightly faster than you can move! Edit2: But the person chasing you gets warped by the last door! Edit3: But you put a portal where the cell would be so that once he gets locked in it (if he doesn't get warped) you can warp into it and surprise him with some bursts!!!
  12. I think it would be cool if below mini there was like 3 or 4 temporary doors sorta like in starwars episode 1 at the end when two people going down the hall could each get locked inside a cell or between cells, make like 4 doors each with about 10 spaces between

    LOL.....

omg he probably screwed up the first one and then was like f*** it!
  14. Very good point.
  15. Yes locking player by ip in theory can work but it also has many flaws. What if you want to go to the losing team because of some RQ ness going on and you just want to balance things out? However it would be useful, I go in center to chat for a second to realize that my lack of AFK skills has gotten me spectated and off of the winning team that I worked hard to participate with.
  16. The Problem: Big EXP discrepancies cause player numbers to be too wide appart, favouring the lower exp team. The proof: http://i52.tinypic.com/mifhph.png and then 2 seconds later this happened -> http://i53.tinypic.com/dqso3k.png There were so many people on team 90 that team 91 wouldn't have a chance if they all cobalted every 3 minutes and then all went into their ad lancs and rushed. Solution : Cap the exp limit difference at something reasonable. The Better Solution : Make the Exp part not calculated when teams are over 10v10.
  17. I have 4 monitors (2x 1920x1080 2x 1280x1024) one of em is in portrait. GTX 260 BFG Overclocked AMD Phenom x4 940 @ 3.6 GHz 4gb DDR2 800 Memory M2A-VM Asus motherboard 3x 250gb hdd Corsair HX 620 (got on sale on newegg) red cathodes out the ass Video of my workstation Not gunna bother with benchmarks etc, gunna get an ssd soon too... BTW I know my hardware AND software inside out, if you need help with anything feel free to pm me or msg me on IRC (irc.rtsnet.org:6667 #op2rules) Custom modded Cooler Master Storm Scout with wire holes and some other crap. I'm not really into pc modding anymore but I was a bit of a fanatic about a year ago Edit: Running W7 Ultimate 64 bit of course Edit2 : if you are building a new system or upgrading one, NEVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER buy an ATI card. Just a good rule of thumb. nVidia cards will last longer, overclock better, run cooler, are more reliable, cost less, have more convenient features, better driver support, and better tech support on the nVidia forums. Also more driver updates etc. ATI might have the best card on the market for a given time but beyond that you won't get much out of them. Again NEVER BUY AN ATI CARD OR A MACHINE WITH AN ATI CARD you will have headache after headache with driver issues and you will get more BS than you could ever imagine. Good f***ing luck with linux support that's hit or miss too!

    base 5

LOL?????? I'm hoping this is a joke! Even if it DID bring a "shitload of FUN" to the zone a base that unbalanced doesn't belong in an already imbalanced zone.
  20. I think I see a ... REDDITOR!
  21. Make them the good ol' classic 7 that was a good number
  22. op2rules

    Zone logo

Ya its a sick logo I would keep the symmetry off!
  23. One week? Bring them back forever
  24. That's exactly what I just said
  25. It will stop milking, and make it so that if milking DOES occur then the team actually trying should get the bigger reward (the team not inside of the overpowered base(s))
