Yeah I suggested perhaps several minibases in center with turf flags and/or goals. Oh my god. I LOVE this idea! It would make center just so fun and amazing! Make more bigger minibases with a turf-flag at the end of it all around center. Make the rewards maybe 25$ per flag in a FULL pub W/basing OR 150$ per flag FULL pub W/o basegame.

Questions I'd like to see answered: Was it fun? Was it more fun than main arena flagging? Were the rewards good/fair? How was the map? Would you like to see it become the public arena? (after your other concerns have been addressed, of course) Was it fun? Somewhat, the multiple bases and runing around kinda got a bit annoying but thats the point of turf I guess. I rather flag games anyways, but it was fun trying something new. Maybe make it only 1 base or no bases? Was it more fun than main arena flagging? Again, no. Only if it either had NO bases, or just one. Were the rewards good/fair? They might've been a little high at the start, but a 400$ decrease was insane. I say keep it nice n high but just only host it once in a while. How was the map? Too mixed. Either make it open entirely or only 1 or 2 bases. (love the ht without the blue crap!) Would you like to see it become the public arena? (after your other concerns have been addressed, of course) Maybe, but change the entire sector idea.

Well while the ammo topic is still up, i really think even if you don't have a siege mount or whatever (thing that holds for example, thors) you should still be able to green thors and sell them on spawn. Maybe trade them? Back on topic here, I never really noticed the ammo not coming in, if I use my shredder wisely, well... I just don't run out of ammo. Period. Even if I do, a full refil only costs 50 bty so I don't really mind it. But if its gunna be there it should work.

ok this is a quick little umm.. I guess guide you could say on how to adapt to hypersace changes and make the best of it. Let me state a few important things. With the new ammo system, stop trying to kill people. Thats right, don't chase people at all, you will waste money on ammo and get less of you kill. Don't try to make your ships be the best for you, make it the lamest. This is my main part of what I want to say. Before, I was and still concider myself as a vet. Now with these new items and such, we are all equal. How to change this? You can't really. Deal with it. But what I did find out was customizing your ship to your needs isnt the way to go. Instead, make it incredibly lame. I changed my warbird to have the 2 most gay weapons in the game. Shredder and SoP. I used to use sop way back, yeah. Back when I couldn't kill anyone! Now I'm getting 100 bty on average per death. 200 bty is incredibly easy. I can hit about 350 bty without even paying attention. Lame/vulch with shredder, and when people chase you use SoP. Dont use a jav because that takes skill and noobs will rape you. And finally. The new basing. Thats right now the only way to rush good is to 3x thor your enemy. You may have soon realized that in a 10v10+ game sharking just doesn't seem to work too well. Thats because even if you sneak to the fr, or burst 3x, it accomplishes nothing. Instead, piss the entire pub off with 3x thors. You make amazing cash, and it takes no skill. This is the big cookie were looking for here. things that take no skill. Now that being said, happy laming everyone! And real skill guys! Just lame and piss others off!

Well exp would have to be taken into this also. The only 2 flaws I could think of was: 1. If you play a lot, you get a lot of VPs, putting you always on the sucky team so you can't win too many games. 2. Make new account -> join best team since 0 VPS win jp and transfer to main.

What Aquarius said. Long flag games > Short. Point Finale. Also when its mixed up with flags all over the place and people ruining it thats when skill comes in and differs the kids from the men. But w/e like I always say. Free game so why complain? It won't always be PERFECT

Haha in HS you learn your lesson the hard way. I've done some stupid things and gotten banned for that too by rare (I'm pretty !@#$%^&* sure it was him). Honestly if it was my zone I would do the same and its a free game so I'm not complaining.

I'm just thinking, most of us were happy when flag games could be swapped around really quickly with a speedy brickwarp, or a rush wzl (yes I know brickwarping was on a reset before the weazel rush came out) that could kill an entire team alone. All these ammo complaints, uneven ships, blah blah... Wouldn't it just be better to be on the old system? Nobody complained then, I never lagged... I can barely play now. My opinions for the ammo is since HS is a basing zone its kinda dumb, the only purpose for it is to stop high btying, which was just fixed. It all just boils down to... the zone was fine before... change is good, but not always. Comment. SHOOT! Put this is zone dev... meant to be in hyperspace.

Meh I stopped playing because of the ammo stuff and school was more important... and social life... and other things... which i wont speak of.

Hey, well I still play from time to time, so I need my cash. I decided I would play but rarely. And orangeos, IMO I'm better than you, I really don't care what your opinion or others is, but I hope you know calling me a noob doesn't prove anything, especially since I'm a long term player. So to sum it up, I'll be on maybe 3-4 times a month just to play for a little and thats it. Also, you were all probably wondering where the money would go to if I quit. Well if I did quit forever, I would give some to a few noobs, most to nolan123, and trivia the rest. Maybe the first few who ask for it will also get it, but aon I will be still active, but much much less. P.S. Counterstrike Source and Brawl FTFW!

Yes, syriths way is way better, it puts you at full no matter what. doing -c # only gives you that amount if you have room.

Hey guys, just thought I would share I'm probably going to quit HS. Its an incredible time consumer, and what makes it different from other zones is you cant just play whenever you want, you need to stay on top (Well thats how I feel anyway). With say, EG for example, you can just simple... play. I figured after a few thousand hours of gameplay I could've done so much better things instead. I could've done so much more. Anyways, Its still a great game to play from time to time, but since of the new ammo system, the bounty reset on buying ammo, and the hugely reduced ammo limit, I've decided to quit. Unless I see some decent changes, Im not going to be active for quite some time now. One of the best things I liked doing was m!@#$%^&* btying, but since arnk can't, nobody can. Sorry guys, Especially to all my great friends I made while playing (Nolan123, bammedfoo, arctixwolf, okyo, P man, Aquarius, desert op, Fat mouse, spidernl, suicide run, syrith, style, traced., Rivel, and many more. You will all be remembered untill I decide to start playing again

K woah, actually they were raised, now its 800-400 per pack (G-B ) ammo. Im not playing untill something good happens to hs. This is really out of hand.

Ooh it was him who added the powerballs and fields? Those are bother pretty nice add ons to the game, but hes the one responsible for all the new features since the reset. Correct me if i am wrong.

I've seen a lot of Arnk-hate posts, and even more stuff in the chat. I also see a few people who Like the new itemset and ammo system. So, I thought this would really sum it up. Possible help Arnk, and prove the real truth. Be honest now, Do you think hes doing a good job? Personally, I almost quit HS because of the ammo reset thing, but then the greens came, so I thought I would give it ONE last chance, since it could still change. Please do not post Arnk hate posts here, or flame.

Sorry, but no. Only thing I see fit there is the compression core, and fins, maybe power strip if it suits you. Ion drive is ok for starting off, but omega is way better, yes it uses you signature, but its well more worth it. Beam array is only good for basing, and if you wanna base with a 1k energy 2x2 ship than fine with me... pulse would fit way better. Also don't forget the mounts of which are debatable. I use 2 defense mounts. Energy scanner is a must have, especially with a warbird. 1 More thing... Why did you put the ammo you have?lol Note : I just looked a bit more into your guide, as it really seems more for the newer types, maybe a signature or something would be too much to start off... (answeres why you put the ammo too)

Yea really... MEGA hate that rule... but at least it makes it so when you buy right on spawn your bty isnt 9...

Been offline for the past 20 minutes. Not sure when it started, but all I know is from around 3:00 to right now its 3:23 and still offline. Right now it is Feb 18th 2008 (-5 hrs Toronto) As of 19 Feb 2008 9:12 my time, still offline. Unsure if was possibly online between times.

Yea I was having the same problem, mostly with 5.5% packet loss. Anywyas I connected directly to the net and the lag went away. Although sometimes I still get it slightly over. Hope this happens soon.

Hah this is bumping the topic, but I made like 50k off that bot, and like 3 hours after I !cashout'd on it it was banned... Man this is a keeper.
