... I have never seen anyone doing that... but then people will only do it when no-one else is playing
-
Now everyone will start doing that ...
-
Interesting... quite detailed, but I think it would look juat a bit too plastic and artificial for a Space Shooter. Perhaps not so smooth walls?
-
What??? Also, I thought the previous 17th parellel map had bases on the East and the West, and another construct to the south. Or have I just not logged on for too long?
-
Well, if they fix it, then they at least should also change the SSCB to SSCI... who did design the banner?
-
Looks like a database error to me as the consequential data isn't affected... record deletion? Well... if that is the case, just contact an administrator and ask them to put it back.

the_accountant simply can't stop rolling on the floor laughing... funny that he can still type
-
Ouch... the only way to fix it without actually changing the wording - create a new in-game object called "It", and make it so that it has true power, devastating all that lies in its path. ... get it?

Ok i was thinking of this for a long time

I sort of get what you are saying... but what zone do you have in mind? Remember, anything is possible. But from my point of view, this idea would be best suited to a zone such a HyperSpace. -
Freak, i'm sure you could do it yourself Just open the file, then seperate it into the graphical elements, the buttons, and the text areas. Then, form a table using HTML and insert all the split images into it, making the backgrounds of the text areas the images behind them. Remember to set the table border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0, and you are done! Well... almost! Umm... I could have a go, IYL

Now hang on a tick Samapico... I was just thinking, if a widescreen person does find it a hassle to read across his screen and resizes it, then won't he or she simply be negating the effect of the fluid-width design, by reducing the width of the page to a width which is comparable to fixed-width websites? Also, a HTML question: is it possible to make the element fluid-width? Thanks all. Are there really only 11 people on this forum who have an opinion on this?

It says: Oh well... is KoC a good game? Better than SS RPG?
-
Yes - remember, SubSpace is the game, Continuum is the client. As to your idea, perhaps it is good, but I would way that there are many games out there already on the market that fit your description quite well, and any dev team working on your project would probably give up after a while, citing that they felt like they were re-programming something already available. Hmm... maybe... create a more detailed description of your new game, then post it on the wider web. See what people outside this community (which, after all, is very focused on SubSpace/Continuum) have to say.
-
if that's a coincidence..... wow It isn't How are you going solving the problem? Edit: Oops... I just realised, I meant to say, "it is a coincidence". Sorry - but it doesn't matter, you should still be able to solve my puzzle.
-
Ok - here are some more examples: Subspace = 3936588805702081 Continuum = 1000000000000000000 (that is using my algorithm... honest!) There. See if you can figure them out now.
-
Hmph... logic, because you have to logically think through the sequence of operations to arrive at the answer, and I haven't learnt about bases (in school) yet, even though I have almost finished. Most of my classmates do not even know that binary = base 2 btw: My puzzle does not involve any bases besides base 10.

It is fun (gah why can't they make = ) ! lol... Well - it gets the members of the SSCentral community involved in a task where they all can interact and encourages them to post in a way that creates a catalyst for discussion within a single thread. Thereby, it stops the users of the SSForums board from getting bored and churning this website - moving away never to return. Also, it allows a place for individual members to display their talents as mathematicians and logical thinkers and to receive feedback on their methods and thoughts, and for the readers to thereby gain an insight into the types of people the people that use this forum are in a non-threatening and passive way. Happy now?

Err... domain name lease expired? Dunno...
-
Ok - you will never figure this one out Synook = 68719476736 You will never get it (but it is not random) . He he he... Uh... spaces equal 0, numbers just become the letter of that value i.e. 1 => A , 2 => B , etc. Case is not relevant. Oh - underscores can be 0 as well. So "Sy_nook" would be the same as "Sy nook". Just ignore all other special characters hmph... btw: the solution only involves four (4) steps
-
That is confusing ... did you really figure that out all by yourself, Sampico? How long did it take you? Also, using that algorithm, how long will it take you to find a collision using words with the same amount of letters?

And the creator of Google is actually Larry Page, who along with Sergey Brin in 1996 (or was it 1995?) created the search engine algorithm BackRub, and applied it to their new search engine Google (a mis-spelling of "Googol" (10^100)), at Stanford University. Just FYI...

Hey... I do know how to use Blender... sort of... But one problem I have found. How do you get the texture of the ship onto your model and make sure it is aligned, not warped, and goes completely around the object? Something I can't do...
-
I cannot believe this topic is ( a ) still going and even more amazingly ( b ) still on topic! Still... I wonder if anyone has created a new set of models. Also, just wondering, if it hasn't been brought up previously on this topic, is it possible to generate ships rolls without 3D models?

When did you start playing subspace and under what alias ?
Synook replied to Killerbot's topic in General Discussion
Hmm... I started playing around 2000 with a name I can't remember, in Alpha West, but it got boring very quickly and I left... but in 2006 I began playing again under the name Synook, and discovered at that time that there were other zones besides Alpha... so I actually enjoyed playing Though I still played Alpha West for quite a while. I also once played (until quite recently) under the name Qnook, but I forgot the password to it ... -
I suppose so... more people seem to be voting for fluid-width now - it was equal yesterday. Though, did anyone have a look at the TutorialSys website? For I cannot imagine that using a fluid-width design... Also, don't forget to comment when you vote thanks
