As to your idea, perhaps it is good, but I would way that there are many games out there already on the market that fit your description quite well, and any dev team working on your project would probably give up after a while, citing that they felt like they were re-programming something already available. Hmm... maybe... create a more detailed description of your new game, then post it on the wider web. See what people outside this community (which, after all, is very focused on SubSpace/Continuum) have to say.
