Umm... perhaps I don't fully understand the ranking system: I thought it was just based on points and men... but obviously it is more complex (as at the time of the post I am 11th, while *rc 1223* is 13th, even though he has both far more money and soldiers than me... What is the process for calculating rank? Anyone know?

Yikes! That is a very far-fetched (or visionary depending on how you look at it ) idea... nice thought though... wonder if anyone with a lot of spare time would like to start trying... I remember someone bringing up this idea on DSB a while ago (can't recall who now)... I suggest that if someone starts developing a version that they try atmospheric-style physics for the ship flight, as this would retain some of the old style of 2D subspace (instead of going for a game with no sense of 'up'). Ever played a game called SpaceCowboy? A bit like that. One of the main problems in my opinion with creating a 3D version of SubSpace/Continuum would be the loss of the current high maneuverability of the ships in the current 2D game, as moving back towards the direction of the camera would be a problem (as you can't see what is behind you). Oh well... perhaps we are just dreaming...

Question: for weapons, would you recommend buying lots of a weak weapon, or one of a powerful weapon?

That is an interesting idea: SubSpace DS... wonder if it would work. The only instance of another MMOG being translated from the computer to a DS I know of is Maplestory, however even though it remained an MMOG, DS players cannot play with the PC gamers... Would be good if there was one (499th Continuum goal) ... However, it should be easier to port the SubSpace Chat Client onto a mobile platform, wouldn't it... would it?

Oh is that how one is supposed to play... I was getting a bit irritated with the constant bombings by the levs, but I think i get it now. An idea: Perhaps players should be able to spawn at flags they have captured... if that is possible.

Just a question on the topic of SS RPG - how beneficial would you say it is to put money in a Super Saver account?

Umm... basically, the aim of this game is to gain the highest rank possible in relation to other players though a number of ways including creating as large an army as possible, gaining as much points as possible, and advancing as fast as possible. You do this though [a] just waiting (as your army size and points will increase naturally) or by attacking other players and stealing their points. Your points act like money in SS RPG, allowing you to hire more ships for your army or to improve your arsenal (so that you can more effectively attack other players). Also, you can 'bank' points so that they increase (put then in the 'super saver' account. Hoped that helped

By the way, just wondering, does anyone know one that will convert DAT --> MPEG, that is, VCD format into MPG format? Just wondering, because I haven't been able to find one. Does any of the above programs do this? Thanks

Question: How do you select which stats from SS PRG to show on the left of what posts you make? See, currently all my stats show for me, however, most other people's seem only to show the Rank, and Army Size. So how do you change that? Thanks...
