  10. This opens up some interesting item possibilities such as vampiric items that convert damage into heat, heat into damage, recharge <-> heat, etc. You might have an item that toggles between increased heat dissipation and increased recharge. This would reward micromanagement skills.

  17. I'm not playing because I'm spending all my free time on this forum reading about why people are not playing. I don't have time for anything else.
  18. I believe Desert Storm's gameplay changed over time, but the version I remember had about 30 control point flags scattered over the map. Yes you could set yourself to different spawn points once your team had captured surrounding flags. That added an interesting strategic dynamic. If you held more than X % of the flags for a certain period, your team won. The Conquest descriptions I have read sound like turf gameplay, if you're trying to do something else then I am mistaken. I have no idea if reusing DS is feasible or applicable.
  19. The dead Desert Storm zone used pretty much the same game mechanics as described for Conquest. Maybe someone could chase that down and adapt it.
  20. If I might make a suggestion, this is exactly the gameplay of the defunct Desert Storm zone. I don't know who ran it, but I'll bet that if you wanted to use their stuff, they would let you. That would jumpstart Conquest because all you would need are new graphics.

    There is never going to be a thousand-page "Hyperspace Legal Code" for all of you wanna-be lawyers to find loopholes in. What we have are general rules, principles, and common sense about fairness and preserving the enjoyment of the game for the majority of the population. The only clear cut rule is, if you willfully and repeatedly violate the rules or ruin the game for everyone else, you will eventually be sanctioned.

  24. The point is levi rotation doesn't matter, especially with PD. That point still stands. With hydrazine, the levi is dangerous even in center.
  25. Hydrazine is better IMO if you compensate the rotation with man fins, inertial damper, etc. Rushing does involve moving in a straight line down corridors. With PD you typically want to wait a few secs for your PD to attach so you have time to rotate yourself into position to rush. PD levi is about keeping your levi alive as along as possible while PD does the work, so defensive items like armor, reps, nrg, etc are most important. You don't need a speed mount.
