No sir, I don't like it. There were several "leagues", if you can even call them that, tried before. All ending in failure. Why not have a regular flagging league, pub style matches? I already know the answer to this question, because tm_master is acting like baseduel is the main arena. Meanwhile, it is just an event sub-arena. Abuse has been going on for the entirety of Subspace's existence. Can't say that I condone it, and I've been on the receiving end of it, but it's not going away. Nobodies perfect, biases will get the better of otherwise reasonable people and 10 year bans will happen.

I would have voted, but I could care less either way. I'm fine with what's there now.

Star Warzone was one of the pioneering zones of Subspace and has probably at one point in time had more population than either of those zones. I guess the 100s of people who played there were schmucks.

Ok, so here is one simple flaw. Let's say the 4 zones cycled were 17th, Deva, Star Warzone, and Hockey zone. I would play in only 2, maybe 3 of those zones, why play something I don't like? That is human nature. So that means I would be inactive for 1 or 2 months and perhaps never even come back, lots of things can happen in 2 months. Also, what about all the zones that don't make the cut? It wouldn't be fair to them.

Ok, my issue with the lanc is that you have 2 different ship settings in public and in ?go baseduel. Is this intentional? IE: Lanc with l2 bombs in pub/l3 bombs in baseduel. And I'm not sure about the specifics of the changes to the lanc, but despite my last post, I think it's bullets were enhanced - perhaps even the bombs as well. I suppose Quigy feels the lanc changes were unanimously preferred over the older settings... If so, it's not an outlandish suggestion to put it to a poll, because I'm not so sure about that assumption. Stat system? "Direct ASSS Web Stats (DAWS) was created as a way to upload stats from your subspace server straight to a website without going through a middle layer such as scheduled scripts or mysql. The module and web interface are publicly available here asss-daws.zip. This can be easily added to the Deva Website. Edit- Also, there shouldn't be a discrepancy between the settings in pub and the settings in baseduel outside of limited items/specials in bd for example. I just verified that Lanc is 2 somewhat different ships in both of these arenas... In baseduel it has l2 bullets and l3 bombs, but in pub it possesses l3 bullets(with a narrower multi-fire spread in comparison with baseduel to boot) and l2 bombs. Also, anyone can notice after switching between pub and baseduel that the ship thrust and/or speed in baseduel is slower/less than their respective settings in pub. Why the discrepancy? If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

I believe the bombs were just made stronger. So basically the lanc is a fully capable ship in all facets of the game. When before it was pretty much purely a flagging ship used for angled bomblines. And regarding the scoring system, like I already suggested, there is already a module that tracks scores and is can be added to devazone.net. Would be nice. I feel as if a poll is necessary.

What I know that has been changed that needs to be reversed: 1- Lancaster 2- Mine graphics changed to prize graphics 3- The use of baseduel As for ?go baseduel, the settings might have been tampered with, but I wouldn't know. I don't really like that aspect of deva.

I say change back all the settings to what they were originally. Even with all the item spam large games sustained pretty well. Take your fingers off the Esc+C buttons and instead type ?go.

You are probably right. Seeing as the forum is only a medium for discussion, I don't see how the forum structure would prevent anyone from utilizing it. But who knows, some people are OCD. You already know what happened to SOS. Everyone else simply left because real life caught up with them and they don't really care much for SubSpace anymore. Sometimes they show up for old time's sake. It's about the same as wondering what ever happened to No_Remorse. I'm right here, lol.

I don't know why we stopped doing the holiday themed bases. It's an opportunity for players to get involved with the zone by submitting their bases. And the likelihood of them logging on to play on their own bases doesn't hurt either. Oh, and my attempted Halloween map got put up for literally 2 days, 3 max. What the f?! That took me quite some time to put together. This ^. !buy warp is so cheap that it should be on a discount shelf at the salvation army. Get Deva it's own forum because Tm's input on forums would certainly be better than no input. Although I'm not quite sure what's wrong with ssforums... ----- And perhaps add koth to pub, so when a base game isn't going on there is some reward for dogfighting in center. I think a powerball league was attempted, attempted being the key word. Also some duel leagues that probably never got past the 2nd round. I like the initiative, though.

What kind of development are we talking about here? Beyond the !credit module, I wouldn't want to see any EXP systems implemented. And I'm not sure, but doesn't everyone still play ?go baseduel exclusively?
