I don't know exactly how long Vietnam was, but knowning it was over a decade, I'll just use 10 years in this example. 50,000 lives in 10 years put it at 5000 US deaths a year. As of yesterday the US death toll was 874. The US started the war on March 21, 2003 with 'Shock and Awe'. War on terror: 16 months - 874 US deaths. Nam: 12 months - over 5000 deaths. Seems like a rather large contrast to me. BTW, please quit trying to turn this thread into a flame war. No. Iraq was led by Saddam. After knowing what he's done, I'd suspect he has more than WMD's hidden, and that's just me. If I was president, and my advisors led me to believe that there were infact WMD hidden, I would act upon it. Bush was givin bad info (as far as we know). If a friend told you someone was hitting on your girlfriend, would you stop and question that friend, or would you confront the guy? But if that guy wasn't hitting on your girlfriend, would that make you a liar for beliving your friend? No. Bush was told that Saddam was hidding WMD by creditable sources, and took approperate action to protect the country. If you want to point fingers, point them at the people who provided the false info.

There's a difference between acting on wrong information, and flat out lieing. Bush recieved wrong information, Cliniton lied. I would rather have a president with a criminal background who's cleaned up his life and has moral values, than a hyocrite pro-homo baby killing pro-life'er who would rather create jobs than worry about the saftey and moral values of America.
