What happened to this forum? People here used to want to have fun, now all they do is spout negativity across the site and be bureaucratic about everything (even more so than the past.) I don't think it's the fact that the game is outdated, I think it's the people who are still here that are killing this game, and this site. Since when in the past has ssforum ever cared about censorship? Now you have a word filter, and you're deleting pictures of mspaint drawn boobs and a dick, citing "pornography" and that children use this forum. It's the internet for crying out loud! Heaven forbid someone gets offended . Plus it seems that most posts (not just in my threads mind you) are just negative; "this is lame" or "you're dumb for trying this" or "hahaha ur so stupid omgozh". I mean, wtf. Seriously? This site isn't fun anymore. It's boring, and that's evident by the number of people who AREN'T coming here. I see maybe 6 names on the active viewing list at the bottom of the forum list. It seems everyone quit coming here. And why bother when it's not fun anymore? I don't blame 'em.

Thanks for completely tearing down the idea and dismantling a project that you have no part in, and obviously don't want to take part in (despite your previous post). I hope your e-peen feels better now. I'm requiring it because yes, it is easier for me to use, and teach people how to do things like route calls from skype to the stream via SAM. And yes, I believe it is easier to use than most full featured broadcasters, which allows me to help out DJ's who may not know everything about SAM, as opposed to trying to help them out while they use their own broadcasting tool that I've never used before. It's much easier to work as a DJ team when you're all using the same software as opposed to everyone using different software. Secondly, as stated before, the requirements help us work better as a team, and allow us to trouble shoot any issues. And contrary to your opinion, I believe this allows me to have more control over the DJ's (ex DJ A can't get his SQL server to link to SAM. This is an issue we can fix quicker and easier than if DJ A was using Program XYZ and couldn't connect to the server, no one knows anything about Program XYZ.) Not to mention SAM is the industry standard in most small/medium/large online radio stations. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that it's some evil program. And the radio has only been started twice to my knowledge; once by me (which failed to to insufficient funds) and once by Chambahs (don't know why it went down.) If that constitutes "so many times" then I don't know what to tell you, other than I'm sorry you dream small. I'm starting an online radio station. If it fails, it fails. I'm not in this to make some big name for myself, or money, or anything. I want to do it because it's fun. So to all you nay-sayers out there who feel compelled to tell me how much it's going to fail, or how bad of an idea it is, just keep your douche bag comments to yourself. If you're not going to participate in this, then please, stfu.

I'm gonna fire up the SSRadio again. I enjoy online radio stations, and I think this community (or what's left of it) would enjoy it too. Heck, it might even bring in some new users. I'm looking for DJ's. I've decided that going the whole zone-dj-rep route is pointless, so I'm just looking for people who have an interest and a working knowledge of being an online DJ. For now I only want people who have DJ'ed in the past and know what it's like and what to expect. After I get a group of dedicated knowledgeable DJ's together, I'll start setting up and teaching new people who have not DJ'ed but want to learn. Requirements are: Dedication SAM Broadcaster (can be provided if need be) Previous online DJ experience Microphone Skype (will be used to do on-air interviews and talk shows) Not afraid to talk Ability to speak coherent English Cable+ internet connection Interested? Here's what I need in PM: How many hours a week can you dedicate to DJ'ing? Would you be interested in teaching/training new DJ's? How extensive is your mp3 collection, and what genere would you typically broadcast? (Note, FLAC does not play nicely with SAM) Are you interested in conducting on-air interviews and talk shows? FAQ Q: Why is SAM Broadcaster required? A: Because it's easier to work with and newbie friendly. So I'm curious to see what people think of this H1N1. I've had this crazy pig flu already which only lasted a few days and basically felt like the standard flu. I was told to get a flu shot before I got it, and amazingly, after I got teh H1N1 (which is odd because if I've already gotten it, my body has built an immunity to it). I've also known lots of other people who have gotten teh H1N1 from all ages between 3yrs-78yrs, and even the children and elderly that I know bounced back just fine. A 78 year old woman at my church was told by her doctor to get teh H1N1 shot. She refused and ended up contracting H1N1 (or so she was told by her doctor) and was told to get the shot, even though she already had it. She refused and left the hospital. Three days later she was fine. Same with the 3 year and 4 year olds I know who were told by doctors that they had teh H1N1 (as well as their mother). Mom refused the shot for herself and the girls, a week later everything was fine. So if the young and elderly are the ones who are supposed to be the largest suffers of teh H1N1, then how come everyone I know had zero problems? It seems to me that the current deaths that we're told are related to H1N1 are roughly the same as the regular flu, so really, what's the big deal? Or is there some hidden agenda/conspiracy theory, and the government is trying to inject the people with...something? Or maybe the government panicked and they're vaccinating against something that's not as bad as they thought, and there really is no conspiracy theory. I do find it odd however that Fox News and Prison Planet both reported video and news stories about some 500,000 large coffin like tubs that were found on a FEMA facility a while back ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeqjykY5wPk ). When asked about it, the government admitted that they had them in case any pandemic or mass death were to happen . A year later, teh H1N1 comes around and people are getting injected with shots against their will. On top of that, the White House gets in a heated debate and quarrel with Fox News about it's reporting. Now I'm not your typical conspiracy theorist, nor am I right or left winged. I'm more independent. But these seem like a lot of coincidences imo.
