Right on. When I was a kid I had a choice, five spankings from mom, or two lashes from her drunk boyfriend and the belt. I always chose the five from mom, as hands are a lot softer than leather belts...anyway, my point is that I turned out fine (for the most part). I see tons of kids these days that are so undisaplined, screaming, tantrums, disobediance, mouthing off, and the parents are all like, "I don't know what to do?!" Well !@#$%^&*, smack the kid for crying out loud. It's one thing to physically harm your child; leaving bruses, broken bones, constant beatings, etc. But words just don't have the same effect as a swift back hand across the face when a child mouths off. Heaven help my kids if they ever mouth off to me and ignore the first and only verbal warning. In the words of Denis Leary, "Hey, my parents used to beat the !@#$%^&* out of me, and looking back on it I'm glad they did, and I'm looking forward to beating the crap out of my kids too aren't you? *smack* what'd I do?! SHUT UP AND MOW THE LAWN! There's thearapy for you, crying and mowing the lawn. *VROOOOOM* *WHAAAA* *VROOOOM* *WHAAAA* The Leary kid's in thearapy again, they're lawn looks amazing!"
