Have you ever exited safe, just to have 3 tacnukes wtfpwn your ship out of continuum? Ever find that kind of unfair? Maybe a little?
-
I don't find it unfair that I can't kill a team. I agree that I shouldn't have an easy time with it. But having no chance to, being bombarded by red and blue bombs constantly from a marauding lancaster with 7 turrets is hardly fair at all. Especially not when it's something like a lanc, that requires no skill to move your turret and shoot in the direction of blue radar dots.
-
Great. I don't enjoy it, nor do most other people without anti-death/3000 hp ships.
-
Trust me, it isn't fun having to fight turrets and groups of levis. And you can't just say to move when turrets are flying around center, killing everything in sight. Fair doesn't have to mean just 1 ship, i'm fine with a bit of polarization as long as my skill would reflect my ability to kill more than what ship I choose, and how much money I invest in it.
-
I hate to break it to everybody, but just because something is 'beatable', it definitely does not make it fair. As I said when I posted this, yes, if you rocket in, taking four mines and 5 bombs in the face, surviving that, then somehow managing to have enough energy/thors to take one of em out, Great. Go ahead. I don't care. But at no point is it ever going to be fair. It's not teamwork, its people grouping together, shooting randomly, killing off 90% of the warbird/javs that come out of center. I'd also like to expand on this: Sometimes, there is no other group to challenge the first. And when the first is defeated, you're only replacing one evil with another. Wont stop either team from bombing the !@#$%^&* out of everybody else who doesn't have the good fortune of being on a prosperous team.

They're levis. They have 3000 health on average. Suiciding, yes. Kamikazee? No.

Then prepare to be alah'arqui,ed No really, ban me.

Ban me from hyperspace for 1 month. I threaten the zone with profanity if this is not done by tomorrow.
-
When was it ever established that turrets were fair and beatable?
-
did you completely avoid the picture above? Because spraying doesn't seem to work at all against tacnukes + falcon missiles.
-
levis > skill in every way imaginable.
-
Obviously some things cost money. A lot of it, actually. Now, I know that you should reward those who put effort into the game But is it right to punish those new players, simply for being new? Discuss. Not a balance post, just a discussion one.
-
Now I know i've always been a pest about balance issues, but take a look at this. And don't give me the whole 'If you had Antideath and 6 friends with thors and tacnuke and rockets and bricks and fields, it'd be easy to counter that.

I don't see how it's contradictory. Is incredibly hard, but It's not terribly difficult for me. I don't really tend to use larger ships, so I have no idea of the state of balance between weasels vs different larger ships, but I can !@#$%^&*ure you right now, that yesterday, November 24th, I got 4:1 with a weasel in center, and I can !@#$%^&*ure you that I can replicate that score at any moment. Oh, any by the way, I don't really see a purpose of Weasel in bases. EMP bouncing doesn't really ever seem to do great justice, and nobody in their right mind uses bouncing bullets with weasels.
-
Wrong. Flechette is pretty easy to dodge actually, all you got to do is get adjusted to the ship and it becomes easy to, and when I say become adjusted, it only takes a few minutes not days or years. The only ship which I got a problem dodging flechette with is shark, but that's because I don't use the shark often. It takes far more effort than it seems worth by dodging Flechette. I can dodge flechette quite easily. But I don't see the point when the enemy weasel isn't losing any energy by chasing me, in the end i'll have to use an item (which I hate doing, by the way) just to get away from the barrage.
-
Flechette is a little lame in general. Against smaller ships. Smaller ships tend to have less health, but are faster and easier to dodge with. Agree so far? Well guess what? Along comes flechette - and there goes your dodging. Any multi-shot makes it incredibly hard to dodge much of anything, you have to displace your ship about 3 times as much as you would a normal shot if you were to dodge a multi-shot barrage. But there is another side to this issue. Larger ships have greater health, and aren't geared towards dodging as much, so why should Flechette be polarized against smaller ships, and be useless against larger ships? Why not just keep it as it is, where it's great vs smaller ships, and mediocre vs larger ships? Multi is optional, wouldn't it be easier if single shot was polarized against larger ships, and multi was polarized against smaller ships? Seriously, just press Delete, and you're set for killing levis, press it again, and you can fight a warbird. Yeah, but it is a powerful fighter and it does dominate the center.

So theoretically, if a person with a wb (and many items, just to balance it out, though they're irrelevant in the end) and a weasel were to fight, !@#$%^&*uming both had equal skill, who would win? Weasel. Most of the time. Of course, weasel costs more, and since most items are irrelevant in this scenario, you might argue that the weasel had more money put into it than the warbird, therefore is en!@#$%^&*led to an advantage. Hyperspace: Where money is a good replacement for skill. I dislike that mentality immensely. It's noob-unfriendly, and it doesn't help the zone out any.
-
Once thing is undeniable: It takes far more skill to kill with a wb than with, say, a spider.
-
In response of the huge text chunk that DBE wrote (despite requesting that I don't) If you can tell me why reshipping isn't inbalanced, and I am not able to come up with a valid counter argument, then i'll step aside. I really don't see the logic in ignoring what's being said.
-
I believe that the zone as it is posesses a huge potential for exploitation of imbalances. I can live with WB < Jav < Spider < Terr < WB. I can't live with invincibility for specific enemies. Maybe because.... IT'S HORRIBLY INBALANCED? Seriously, i'm not REJECTING SOLUTIONS, they simply DONT WORK because the problem refuses to be fixed. Atleast they wont be getting 500-3 because they don't have an infinite number of repels per death.
-
1: Why should I bother with the trouble of getting a group together to kill 1 single enemy, with usually catastrophic results for my team, simply because somebody is exploiting a zone imbalance? 2: This won't stop them from being 'invincible', sure, it's a greater chance than 1v1, but in the end, they'll still be able to reship for various reasons.
-
Not to be an !@#$%^&*hole, but this is inherently flawed because they can avoid up to 100% of the damage simply by having a reshipper who is good at pressing keys rapidly.
