since tablets first came out a long time ago (hp i think?), anyways long before the ipad, i've always asked myself in what kind of situation i would need/use one. between my phone and my laptop and my desktop, i don't see a practical use for it. maybe ebooks but really a dedicated ebook reader with e-ink is the way to go for that, so much better on the eyes and battery life. to dev on android, if that's what you want to do, is a good fit if your phone is another OS

i wasn't able to find a single motherboard on newegg that supported triple channel and had an lga1155 socket and 2 pci-e's. not one!! edit - and it had to also support a 1600 memory frequency

since sama posted that video card i started looking into getting parts, it's been a while since i checked memory prices... $80 (CAD, that is) for 2 x 4gb ddr3 modules @1333 or $130 @1600 with fancy heatsinks, is pretty damn cheap!

btw, a good place to start is vivaldi's the four seasons and holst's the planets suite both contain very popular pieces that you've most likely heard before, maybe some you haven't!

if you can afford it, grab an SSD, doesn't have to be large, 40gb, and use it as your main drive for installing your OS and apps like word processing and such and have whichever drive you have now as your data drive for music, pictures, videos etc. you'll be amazed !!! but do a lot of research if you do, there are a lot of crappy SSDs out there!

out of curiosity, if you have all the settings and all the files required to get MG back up and Testtube doesn't respond, how long would you wait for a response before deciding he has abandoned it and open MG back up anyways. Cause really, apart from ethics and i guess the SSC council which could deny biller, there's nothing stopping the project.
