  9. ss 1.35 doesn't work on my pc either (7 pro 64bit) and it is not installed in program directories. if anything it would be PCA not UAC that would cause a problem, no? in any case, it is neither, i think it is just plain incompatible. haven't tried in XP mode cause I dont have that setup on this pc ... yet
  10. Do you have win7 pro or higher? if so, set up XP Mode (virtual pc) and install it there, should work, might not thought
  11. is she trying to connect for a school/work network? if so, as cheese said, ports may be blocked. if she's connecting from her home internet connection, it could be a software firewall on her laptop, does she have any installed? there's also a chance her home router is blocking it but that is unlikely because by default they do not, someone would have to go out of their way to block the ports.
  12. now they're saying 700 million
  13. reeeeeeeeeecall!! http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-032263.htm some sources say they're gonna lose about 300 million on this! ChipsetsAlert for Intel® 6 Series Express Chipsets and Intel® Xeon® C200 Chipsets usershttp://www.intel.com/sites/templates/pix/circuit388.gif SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 31, 2011 – As part of ongoing quality assurance, Intel Corporation has discovered a design issue in a recently released support chip, the Intel® 6 Series (and the Intel® C200 Series Chipset), and has implemented a silicon fix. In some cases, the Serial-ATA (SATA) ports within the chipsets may degrade over time, potentially impacting the performance or functionality of SATA-linked devices such as hard disk drives and DVD-drives. The chipset is utilized in PCs with Intel’s latest Second Generation Intel Core processors. Intel has stopped shipment of the affected support chip from its factories. Intel has corrected the design issue, and has begun manufacturing a new version of the support chip which will resolve the issue. The Sandy Bridge microprocessor is unaffected and no other products are affected by this issue. The company expects to begin delivering the updated version of the chipset to customers in late February and expects full volume recovery in April. Intel stands behind its products and is committed to product quality. For computer makers and other Intel customers that have bought potentially affected chipsets or systems, Intel will work with its OEM partners to accept the return of the affected chipsets, and plans to support modifications or replacements needed on motherboards or systems. The systems with the affected support chips have only been shipping since January 9th and the company believes that relatively few consumers are impacted by this issue. The only systems sold to an end customer potentially impacted are Second Generation Core i5 and Core i7 quad core based systems. Intel believes that consumers can continue to use their systems with confidence, while working with their computer manufacturer for a permanent solution. If you believe you may be affected by this issue, please contact your place of purchase, or your Intel Field Sales Representative. 15. geez, just restart the damn zone already. why is this so complicated? just do it. if the server is willing to host it, an extra zone will do no harm to SS.

  23. there are apps/sites that will attempt to convert jar to apk (some require the jar and jad like this one http://www.netmite.com/android/srv/2.0/getapk.php ) if you google 'convert jar to apk' you'll get a lot of results. from what I've read it's hit or miss and very shoddy at best, though.
