Its gay yet necessary. However, in a couple of days income will be so high that even if you posted once every 30 seconds, it still would equate to didly squat. I can't remove the feature however due to the fact that it would screw anyone who starts late.

Will Farell has an IQ of about 40. He's funny, but I wouldn't trust him to run a hot dog stand.
-
Super Savings is gone because I couldn't balance it out with the rest of the game, and there was a sort of bug you could exploit with it. I might bring it back after I get the icons up.

I don't know. The only stat I can change about it is how many times a player may switch commanders. I set that variable to 30...practically unlimited unless you are trying to abuse something.
-
Obviously that point will depend upon several factors, including strategy and commander/officer status. But, people will reach the point where they will have more soldiers than L1 weapons pretty quickly. At the middle of the round there will be quite a bit of variety. Since people won't be maxing out their UP, that variety should continue for the rest of the round. This system makes UP even more important than usual. If you have a lot of soldiers, you will be able to use the more cost efficient weapons. People could also by mercs, but you lose cost efficiency buying a 3,500 point merc to man a 2,500 point weapon, especially since that merc isn't going to make money for you.

You've been allowed to set a race haven't you? Here's your sign:

I've resetted you and restored your stats.

There should be no L4s. Guns are more expensive to buy but cheaper to repair. By the way, shrapnel is impossible to repair. Defensive weapons are the same as their offensive counterparts, so if a defensive weapon is cheap upfront it will be expensive to repair. Holes, can you see the upgrade button now?

The UK's Murder rate is much higher than the US'. However, their FIREARM RELATED death rate is lower. Essentially instead of having thugs shooting 9 people with guns they now have thugs stabbing 10 people with knives.
-
I don't know why you can't see it and everyone else can to be honest. Maybe it has something to do with timing, because at the start of the round the 50 UP upgrade costed 4,000,000 and I had to patch it. Maybe you just need to refresh your screen. Regardless, I manually purchased the first upgrade for you, and subtracted the appropriate cash.
-
You should be able to buy the first UP upgrade then.
-
Well, I promise it will be easy to replenish stuff here. UP starts at 50 per hour. (The plan was 40 but there was some technical difficulties.) It is theorhetically possible to get it up to 240, though that's financially impossible to do in a month. Weapons are dirt cheap. If you are buying all your upgrades, you should be able to afford to put an L2 weapon in the hands of all of your soldiers. L1 weapons are the most efficient per points, but low troop numbers should force people to buy bigger weapons.

It should be there on the training page.

أخبار الامة الائلستية In main news today, the Office of Foreign Relations of the Democratic People's Republic of Ailestan formally denied charges made by the UN today that Ailestan has been developing a WMD and has infact used said WMD mere hours ago. The response was "These accusations are ludicrus. We have yet to find one person who has claimed to have been recently nuked." To combat the growing threat of clan Penis. The Parliament has voted 99-1 to create the Office of Cir!@#$%^&*cision. The only vote against the ruling was made by Senator Achmed Babaganush. In unrelated news today, Senator Achmed Babaganush participated in a 15 mile charity marathon after all four of his car's tires spontaneously exploded. 10,000 foloose was earned in the event. The government promises to devote that money to a worthy cause.

The round has begun and good luck to all participates. Note that due to the "intelligence" shown last round, all players start with no stats. You must either post or win from the arcade to get the 10,000 points you need to buy the first UP upgrade.

Icons taking longer than expected. They will be uploaded when they are uploaded. In the meantime, the game is starting now. Just be carefull when selecting your race. I can't seem to put them in any kind of order.
-
Well, I have to cut the images out of my Continuum graphics files. Whats more, it only accepts this strange file extension I haven't seen before. I'll have to figure it out.
-
The new settings are uploaded. However, it seems as though the server does not have icons for the 8 ships. I'll have to re-upload them. There will be a one hour delay to rectify the problem. The May Round starts as 11:00 PM EST. Also, Attacks will open one hour later as well.

Ok, to be honest I never even went as high up on the chain as any of those. The one I played the most was one called "Star Gate Wars". Whether or not they got copywrite permission from MGM I don't know. The point is that I try to shy away from the more hardcore ones. Serious MMORPGs can drive someone nuts.

You monsters! You people have enabled TRP to unleash yet another Battledrome map upon the unsuspecting populace of Chaos zone! He isn't a newbie that needs help! He's a supervillain who must be stopped, much like Lex Luther or the KingPin. He plans on taking over the world by means of awful map designs.

Look, I for one never trust any statistician with an agenda. We simply do not know what they were doing off camera to ensure they got the result they wanted. For instance, if they had one of those hard-core army veterans standing behind the camera, the woman may have said that we won Vietnam in an effort to be polite. The only nations that starts with a "U" (in English mind you) other than the US which I can think of at the moment is the U.A.E. and Uruguay. Neither one is very large, and I'd expect you could find quite a few people in almost any country who would not have heard of them. All you need to do then is remove "I don't know" as a valid answer, set up a time limit, and then people will be forced to make stupid guesses. Getting people to answer "Islamic" is easy. You just quickly ask the same question over and over really quickly: What is the dominant religion of Iran? What is the dominant religion of Iraq? What is the dominant religion of Lebanon? What is the dominant religion of Syria? What is the dominant religion of Saudi Arabia? What is the dominant religion of Libya? What is the dominant religion of Israel? Do it fast enough and you might catch someone off guard. Generating the "Israeli" answer would involve a similar process involving asking a bunch of questions about race or language and then asking the last question, or by asking questions which split hairs amonst the different types of Hebrew. The "Coalition of the Willing" one could be obtained by couching the person with a list of the "Coalition of Non-Aligned Nations", and then asking the question fast enough. Finally, you could just set up shop in a place with an off-camera distraction. There's lots of tricks.

I think he was just making an example. I guess I'll write what I call the "Dummies Guide to Becoming the Totalitarian Dictator of a Country". The guide !@#$%^&*umes that you have some sort of authority to begin with. Maybe you are a president or prime minister. Maybe you are some kind of monarch. Maybe you are some sort of recently installed revolutionary leader. This guide deals with how to turn your limited authority into total control. Step 1: Build your base of support. Even a dictator cannot run a country all by himself. You need a base which even in free elections would vote for you. You can form such a base merely by robbing the rest of the country to support them. The base will thus be really loyal to you. This base will form the recruitment pool for subordinates, will host the public relations events, and generally will be the people you can count on when things go pear-shaped. Popular divides for such a base are along racial or hereditary lines, though some dictators have had success using and invite-only faction. Step 2: Stop all freedom of speech. If your rivals can speak, the people might realise that some of their ideas are better than your own. Besides, in order to be a rival to yourself, he has to be as popular as you are, and its impossible to be popular if nobody knows him because he has to shutup and be quite. Atfirst, you cannot start doing this outright. You will have to conjure up some justification for doing so. Falsely convicting them of treason is popular. Step 3: Reorganize the government. You must change the government so that all positions are achieved and maintain by way of pleasing you. This does not have to be done in an official capacity. It is quite popular for instance to have a democracy but yet only one political party, and to be in total charge of that political party. Step 4: Monopolize the tools of war. After you dominate the government, your rivals will attempt to go underground. They will hold speeches in private and plan their own replacement government. Such action is not a threat to you so long as these people lack the means to install that government. You need to solidify control over weapons, transportation, communications, medical care, fuel, food, water, and shelter. Such control is maintain respectively by: banning weapons, requiring permits to travel, monitering communications, making medical care public, rationing, and regular searches of all residences. Step 5: Monopolize the tools of economics. At this point, you wish to solidify your control over success and failure. You wish to make it so that loyalty = financial success and opposing you = poverty. Over the short term this is done by controlling industry and utilities such as electricity. Over the long term, education is important. By now, your base of support will be silently demanding that now that they put you in charge you should do something for them, and you indeed should. You should give your base of support all kinds of social and economic privileges. This will cause the base to like you even more, which allows you to tighten your control by repeating the process from step 1. Granted, even if we had government regulations upon firearms there are still numerous anti-dictatorship features in most western cons!@#$%^&*utions. However, you will note that a few private industry and media leaders could still slip past too many of them, and frankly the possible damage resulting from a dictatorship in a world with nuclear weapons justifies every anti-dictator feature we can think of.

Two last minute changes, and some misc. comments, for those who are planning everything in advance: Income will be 200 per soldier, 150 per covert, 0 per merc. The soldier income was raised from 100 to 200 because of the results of the prediction calculations...suffice to say people couldn't afford the hardware I wanted them to have. Covert rates were raised to encourage people to get sentries. Mercs give nothing because YOU are supposed to be paying THEM to work for you. However, there will be many more of them available for those of you who like to use mercs as cannon fodder. The second change is that sentry weapons will be cheaper. X radar will be as cheap for all races as Cloak, which is the Spider's special. The mines, which will be the weaker sentry weapon, will be proportionally cheaper. This will make it easier to secure your realm from enemy spies than to sabotage others. Part-time sabotuers for whom covert is a secondary focus will find sabotage of properly sentried targets difficult, wheras it will still be possible for people who really want to focus on it. However, those who have focused on offense should have something available in order to hurt the stats of people they don't like, so the offensive phase limit will be removed, as per what I said in the last prediction post (so its really not a "change"). Thus, if you have the turns, you can spend them all at once to m!@#$%^&* somebody. However, with low turn income an no transfers this will require you to save up for it, and thus is only recommended for people you *really* don't like. One more statement, I didn't state this before, but weapons will resell at a 90% rate to encourage fluidity. This is a byproduct of the weapons system, because the efficiency of weapons will rely on two variables, points and soldiers, rather than just points. Thus changing conditions will have a greater effect on which weapon is most efficient at which time. For instance, a player who just upgraded his UP might find that due to a larger number of soldiers, he might find that he'll get more bang for his buck if he converts to low quality high quan!@#$%^&*y weapons. People may need to switch weapons under natural situations and thus people shouldn't lose as much when they need to sell their weapons.
