Agreed. Setting it to 11 from now on. Usually people can attack each other about 50 times in most MMORPGs. However, usually your offense has to be atleast somewhere close to the target's defense in order to do this, like at a bare minimum 1/4th strength. For a 10k offense to do damage to a 150mil defense is the part that is the biological waste from a male bovine. In this case, not just Black Mage but many persons (check your logs...if the same people did to you what they just did to me there should be a lot of them).

No, it only got five, erm...three of us, but where's Brother Maynard when we need him?

I don't think that...I only tried to set up the settings with that in mind. I atleast got it correct on astrological scales...you do have to wait a few hours in order for the target to save up loot...the trouble is that number is five hours instead of ten. I think its getting better though. I was going to lower turn rate...at the last second I decided not to, and I regret not doing so. I thought 2 would be best, which outright forces people to only attack once every 5 hours. The RPG I played before used this rate, (1 per 30 minutes technically), and for that game I had to get up early but could get a good nights sleep even with no defense. I just thought it would upset too many people...a stupid move on my part because not being able to sleep is what can upset people.

clearly he's roleplaying some kind of African nation...

To be admitted into a clan you have to be admitted by the leader of that clan. Unfortunatly, that leader is freakmonger and he isn't that active. Just be patient and he'll admit you whenever he decides to log on.

As for why this happened, well... Yesterday staff got together for dinner and we all had a nice helping of turtle soup. However, turns out I didn't make enough and we were all still hungry so we decided to eat all of your adopted pets.

Why would the university block gaming? Mine doesn't. Students are adults who are paying several thousand dollars to go there. Provided its not illegal and doesn't hog too much resources, my university couldn't care less what we do with the internet. They are professors, not nannies. By college, students are expected to know how to spend their own time effectively. Thus, I highly doubt there is some sort of game-blocking feature built in to your university network. Besides, I've noticed the same problem at home once in a while.

Well, that's sort of who I had in mind when I made my commentary about women running for President. Hillary Clinton has no character nor much of a platform and has always survived under the "woman who's married to Bill Clinton" ticket. Granted she was running the country for eight years, and during that time we did do a few things, but not many. If a man had her platform, he would have to settle for a local position as mayor or something.

!@#$%^&*...I'm still trying to figure out how he's doing it, my sentry is over twice his spy. Not that I, or rather LiDDiS, can't afford to replace them, but it is kinda annoying. I have the #1 spy and #1 sentry, and my sentry happens to be higher than my spy at the moment, so my sentry is higher than everyone's spy and theorhetically I should be immune to sabotage. The moment of truth has arrived though. My spy has reach 10 mil, so I should get good results. I just sabbed Rare, and got results greater than that which I was expecting. At this point I'd say maybe I didn't nerf sab enough.

Well, massing is what the Levi was designed for: Warbird: Earn money and keep it Javelin: Combat specialist Spider: Covert specialist Leviathon: Killing things Terrier: Large sized armies Weasels: Um....makes a good farm. My little way of punishing stats-hungry people who don't have a strategy. Lancaster: Has no weaknesses Shark: Offense specialist. My only regret is that the Javelin's special sucks in hindsight. I'm also suprised of the lack of Terriers, because Deduction is a more powerfull bonus than Income.

So who wants soup?

Don't worry, your friends just tried to do the same thing to me...emphasis on the word "tried". For reference, the idea is usually to kill the other guy's soldiers. Suicide Run is definitely living up to his namesake. Besides, they haven't even put a sizeable dent in my barrier of mercs yet.

It was discussed. massing was put back in because sabotage was powerfull and it couldn't be changed. Therefore damage possibilities had to be opened up on the offense vs. defense front. massing is a valid yet expensive tactic. Expensive that is unless the recipient doesn't buy a defense. If you don't buy a defense, you are, well, defenseless. BTW, there's still an attack limit, its just really high.

Stolen men's footwear would have sufficed and would have been less suspicious if he were spotted on the way out.

Read mine..."As for sentry, I've found that sentry doesn't really lower the number of weapons it is possible to sab. Either sentry will stop a sabotage outright, or it won't." Whether or not you can sab someone is a yes or no question based upon your spy vs his sentry. How many weapons you can sab just involves your spy until it reaches a certain point around 10 mil. After that point it depends on how many weapons he has. However, the biznatch who just sabbed 651 of my L3 Guns and got away with it has inarguably finished this debate. Truth be told it was closed the last time I posted because at the time I had just taken out 630 of Falcoknight's Fancy Manuevering.

Good point. You have defeated your own arguement. 20 Stealth and 197 Spies != 500 or so equipped spies. Rank has always affected attacks. As for sentry, I've found that sentry doesn't really lower the number of weapons it is possible to sab. Either sentry will stop a sabotage outright, or it won't. Spy on the other hand seems to require atleast 10 mil strength to start really working. My covert is 7,000,000. I'm actually getting decent results from sabotage. Not good results mind you, but decent. Just ask attraction. The results are good enough that I'd bet that when my covert is a proper 15 mil I'll get the results I want. Just trust me in that I didn't touch any of the covert weapons other than the fact that I've removed the lower quality ones and have lowered the price of sentry weaps.

أخبار الامة الائلستية An internation charity based in Falconia just donated 36 million foloose towards starving orphans in Ailestan. Ofcouse, the Parliament voted to divert the money instead towards of Poor Dear Leader who doesn't have enough statues. The Government of the Democratic People's Republic and Definitely Not a Theocratic Dictatorship of Ailestan thanks Falconia for their charity regardless of their inability to prioratize.

Don't ask me...I didn't touch any of the spy stats other than the price of sentry weapons. If I recall correctly, sabotage seems to be as effective as usual. However, usually, sabotage sucks during the first week. Keep in mind that you need several thousand spies before sabbing starts to work, and currently I have the best covert with only a couple hundred spies. What I did do is decrease the price of conventional weapons...a lot. Its easy to forget that its still very early in the game. Usually it takes a covert of atleast 10mil strength in order to do real damage, and nobody has that. I guess I could either decrease the price or increase the effectiveness of spy weapons, but I was going to wait until next round in case it picks up in a couple weeks. If you people want I could do so now.
-
And I keep telling you that it won't...I want to reward the people who stuck around for the entire month - not have people show up at the last minute for the win. Right now it looks like it will have +50% Deduction, +50% Strike, and +50% Sentry, and I guess L3 bombs and Fancy Manuevering. Clearly superior, but at the same time not as good as a two week headstart.

Well, to state the obvious so that subsequent posters do not, this isn't the result of a server going down because 17th Parallel and DSB are both SSCU, and Mystic Kingdom is SSCI. However, it doesn't seem like it is something that you can fix on your end. Most likely it is a problem with those specific zones which only the staff of those zones can solve.

أخبار الامة الائلستية Breaking news concerning the riot in Ailestan National Airport. The event was triggered when a foreigner sitting on an outbound plane ready to take off muttered to himself. "!@#$%^&* I'm glad to be out of this country, its full of violent crazies." The comment was overheard, resulting in a 36 hour riot that destroyed the aircraft and had set fire to most of the airport. Breaking news today is that we have that foreigner today with us, who will apologize live. Foreigner> I am sorry for the insensetive comment I said that resulted in so many Ailestanis getting up and rioting. Ailestanis are a nearly pacifist people who rarely resort to violence. ...Now could you people put those guns down please? Other news today concerns a dangerous trend which is rapidly growing in Ailestani youth. In my 32 years as a jounalist, I have seen many strange and disturbing things. I have seen women with exposed ankles. I have seen young people "dancing" to "Rock and Roll". I have seen young couples holding hands in public. However, more disturbing than all of these is the new fad of "towel snapping", where citizens will roll up a towel and launch it towards the bottom end of an unsuspecting journalist. This is a reminder to youths that towels are to be worn on your heads and NOT used as an intrument of pain.

I've put up a new tutorial, which should help now. As for what you should do, right now you are a the bottom of the pack, so no one is going to want to steal your pocketchange or sab your weapons, so focus on offense and spy for now. That way you can attack some other people for loot comparable to what everyone else is getting. With that money, try to devote as much to UP as possible, as that determines your income. After a while you should be strong enough and have a high enough income to try what you want to.

Frankly, I have serious doubts of it being possible for anyone other than myself to reach #1 in any ship. But, no...it will have strong enough stats to make you a factor, but probably not a top 3 contender.
