Actually statistics from my site show that continuum has been downloaded 28 times in 2 weeks! Woo, don't know if that means anything though.

Um no, actually MySpace is very targeted. Your ad only appears to people who've interests you've check. In this case, ive check "MMO" "Online Games" and some other interests relating to computers. So not everyone on MySpace sees that ad, only people who are interested in the things ive checked. SO BOOYA BITCH

And it doesn't help that very rarely new players are joining. Ive been doing massive amounts of advertising, and MySpace being one of the most popular sites on the web, gave us 343,000 ad views. The bad part is, only 159 people actually clicked, assuming they haven't had Subspace already, and only 8 unique downloads. The numbers aren't very good.

According to MySpace if the ad doesn't do well within 24 hours of being posted you must raise your bid per click, I raised it to .58. Here is the new stats as of 5pm: 123 thousand views 36 clicks

I think I know what your talking about. I thought that might happen aswell, but if it was gonna happen im sure it would of happened there. The only reason I can think of now why it would happen, is if he didn't hold up to his promises.

Woohoo, you get to setup and account, target your audience, submit your banner, set an ammount you would like to spend and then they take it out per click. I set up a $50 trial to see how things work out. If things are rolling well, Ill keep throwing money into the account untill 50,000 people are playing at one time. Well heres the banner I threw together, nothing special just a 30 sec deal. Also, I didnt advertise GetContinuum, I did the site I made a while back, Get-Continuum How selfish of me. EDIT: If you see the ad on MySpace, DONT CLICK IT. You'll be taking away from the game and youll go to hell and spend my money.

It probably seems like ive given up on the whole advertising deal, but im still working on it. I have about 100-200 cards I can send you, just send your address in an email. Ive been contacting YouTube and MySpace to see about getting some advertisements up, im still waiting on the reply from the advertising departments. Now that im back at work it would be alot easier to pay for advertising, as before, I was paying with everything from unemployment. But yea, send the addy root.

You told people not to distribute it by painting yourself giant hobo signs inscribed with something along the lines of warnings and 'it's unsafe', and 'make sure to back up your entire computer before installing'. I'm exagerating here a bit, but you get the point. IIRC Aceflyer was more than supportive of your installer, and so was most other people. So no one else here can be thrown the blame. I actually remember putting the installer on getcontinuum.com. But you told me to take it down, remember doc?

Well while I was still getting getcontinuum.com emails (because of the email forwarding) I noticed alot of people asking about playing SS on Linux, so atleast theres a few new players coming in every now and then.
