Hmm, a very far-fetched statement, but I do kind of see the point you are trying to make. Some, not mentioning any names, seem to take things a little slow when hired. But hey, that's the reason we hire new staffers as ER's, because its a learning process. You are required to have a general knowledge of the game when hired, but you are not required to know every event like the back of your hand. You are not even required to know any commands at all. Hmm, exagerated remark I think. I have never run across a staffer who didn't know what ER stood for. I have run across players who didn't know what ER stood for, so I think you may have confused yourself. LoL.... honestly, that first part made me laugh. If you're referring to the some ship situation earlier today, than you have mistaken yourself, because some ship isnt an Smod nor a Sysop. So this swings back to an earlier quote of yours, about the knowledge of staffers. Seems you tagged yourself on this one, not knowing who the upper staffers are after being an ER how long? On a side note you seem to be flaming staff for unknown reasons other than "not knowing ?find command". If you could given further insight on upper staff it would be greatly appreciated. If not it just makes you look jealous that the people above you are not like you, and don't share your ideals. Now are you referring to skill as a player or skill as a staffer? I'll give an answer to each scenerio: Skill as a player: There are not many and haven't been many staffers who excell both as a staffer and a player. Staff takes time when you go beyond ER and Mod. As many of you know Upper Staff is criticized for not playing much and sitting in spec. Well folks whether you like it or not there's a reason. Upper Staff is constantly involved in things "behind the scenes". Though we may not play or host, we are always busy doing things for the zone that many of you don't know about. Staff is a busy life, and it takes away from playing time, so no, those who choose to be staff may not care if they are good as players, and it doesn't matter. Skill as staffer: Whoever told you is either a re-*BAD WORD*-ed eskimo or got hired as a staffer and did nothing, and got mad after being fired for doing nothing but taking up space on modlist. Umm, if you notice on our staff application it asks how long you have played 17th. We don't hire 10 day newbs, you have to have played the zone for atleast some time to know the pub and arena's etc. Plus we as a staff don't hire people who don't know anything, although I'm starting to concider you a mistake. Confused here, you managed to blame upper staff for knowing nothing and "forgetting commands" yet you have not stated any relevant facts to back up your flaming. If you would please state things which may have caused these thoughts about Upper Staff than I would love to read them, whether they are true or not. Otherwise we're going back to maka's Hitler statement. You seem to not like most of staff at all, unless of course they are good "in your eyes" and share your ideals on the zone. You are acting very much like Hitler and I will give examples. Hitler wanted the entire Jewish race destroyed, and why? well it goes alot deeper but basically they weren't what he thought was a good race, because they didn't fit his ideals as a human. So what did he do? He built an army out to destroy them, because he didn't like them. You are going out to flame staff and destroy us, and why? Those "good mods" you listed must have graced your good side otherwise they'd be on the end of your flaming as well. Agreed, the squad mentioned by prem are the most stable squads in the zone. -*BAD WORD*-.... Covert-Ops has been around for how long? And Sera is old-school too. Epion doesnt look like it'll be dissolving anytime soon, and Aera goes back some too. On a side note: Epion proved in MSBL that once they start caring they can beat anyone. That squad didn't give two -*BAD WORD*-s about msbl till playoffs rolled around where they then proceeded to manhandle and pwn the compe!@#$%^&*ion. Epion isn't playing publeague for lack of squaddies caring about ANOTHER multiship league, so I'd go as far to say that SMG will beat Epion Saturday

When bran got banned the first time for this, he complained and whined and we lifted it early, after he agreed that if he did it again he'd be banned for a year. Thats what we do roach, we dump those not needed. The problem with slacker mods is the host like -*BAD WORD*- when they are ER's, then when they get bang and are all happy, they just kinda... die.... And how can you say pern's not doing a good job? You have NO IDEA what you are talking about, cuz you have NO IDEA what goes on in upper staff. pern reads forums every day roach, and just cuz someone doesn't post doesn't mean they don't get an opinion in the matter. Look at me, i have lil posts (70 or so) yet I read forums everyday, I just don't reply to all of them. We dont have 10-15 ER's you turd, officially we have 9. Of those 9, only 6 are seen daily, and 4 of those 6 are doing a good job. We have 9 Mods too, and of those 9, 5 are ever seen, and all 5 do their job correctly. Now considering we have different staff from around the world, not all the ER's and Mods are on at the same time, thus limiting who we have to host during the day and evening. So if you think ER's should host everything, thats 4 ER's we have that do their job, and what do the mods do? This is why Mod's are sposed to host, otherwise they have NOTHING TO DO. Very few mods are involved with a league(s), in fact, unless they are pretty much begged to host a league event, most mods dont care. Mod isn't just a fun time of laying back and banning roach, you have to still "work" , otherwise you get canned. Everyone works as a team on staff, the ER's and Mod's cover hosting, while the Smod+ cover more detailed area's in the zone (ie. leagues, staff, dev, etc). Yet still, you'll see an Smod or two host events when they get bored. Everyone thinks they know what staff does but unless you've had staff experience before you really know nothing.
