but we dont want nothing. we want the old way where it randomly evened. i think thats what most people who voted no want... this poll is defective due to mav's poor explaining.. there should be three options, 'the current one that evens the last dead when the teams are slightly uneven, the old one that evened at random when the teams were very uneven, or no evening whatsoever - only putting new players onto the team with the least players'.

so... is this an old way vs new way thing, or is this a new way vs nothing thing?

what? before you, a green message would popup and say 'teams are uneven. teams will automaticaly even in 30 seconds.' and then it would switch at random.

flaws with the website poll are obvious... one can vote on many machines. but lets not get into that. the -*BAD WORD*-le of the poll, 'Do you prefer a team evener in pub?'... we always had a team evener. we had the team evener the server gave, and now we have mavbot. however, anyone readint that poll and not in here is probably as confused as I was in the 2nd post of this thread. yes, i prefer a team evener in pub. i want something that will 'even my team when its uneven' so it wont stay 7 vs 4. but that doesnt mean i prefer your bot over the server team evener. of course, the polls on my advantage, but obviously there is a defect in the votes.

the speedball bot almost killed speedball. when it was available to be hosted 24/7, the staff wouldnt advertise it. and for that reason, it was impossible to get even a 3 vs 3 battle.

the only arena that conflicts with pub population is rumble.

thats human nature, akai. an executive of any club will host a suggestion box, and actually read them, and probably talk about them at exec meetings... but then they decide its a dumb idea, or not worth the effort.

i like that idea... reward the person who switches. but i can see that as someone purposely joining the high-freqed team and waiting for the bot to say theres a problem... easy free bounce or whatnot.

um... when i type =1 to switch frequencies, dont i lose bounce/bounty?

and dont even teams just because a team has 2 more people than the other. just doesnt work. usually when i get switched, i quit playing... ooh, teams are uneven again!!!

akai does have a good idea to get the bot working... but all in all, i still dont like the method of evening the last guy to die. easily explained: the guys who go after the ball are the guys who care about getting evened. and they die the most. they are the ones that are 'playing with a team'. the guys who try with all there might to live and kill a lot; doesnt matter what team there on - they usually fight alone.

but how many people relize that you can just pm it to the bot? not many. remember when the top 100 was going on? !top100 was typed publicly, constantly.

theres sort of an idea... but unless people pm the !buy to the bot, then it would get annoying real fast.
