thats 17th parallel for you. And you shouldnt complain. The max ping was dropped quite low a while back and also a change of server has dropped quite a few peoples ping. (Mine used to be 400 its now 190)

Hmm, the same debate? Well i'll add a little input. 17th Parallel was my first zone i tried, and i truthfully loved it because of the diversity, even more so than that of infantry which i gave up on after it became p2p. I tried a few other zones but they were too much the same ships or not fast enough paced (Trench for example!) I used to loved the old settings because of the specilized ships, everything had a purpose and a meaning, everything was set for something special. It was because it was based on Viet Nam prehaps? The Javelin was your infantry man, the terrier was your command jeep, Lancaster? short range bomber, weasel was the missile carrier etc! All these workings to make it something special made the zone fun. Now sure its pop was low, but with that low pop came great fun, lil skirmishes and battles around the map providing fast flowing ball games and everyone used to be all happy Now when they changed the settings i hated them at first! couldnt stand em. But then i spent a week on em, and started to like it. The jav has become killable (slightly), the lancaster is much more fun to play as although its too predictable in all but the most skillful of hands now, the weasel, even if i like the old weasel, has become a better version although it seems like a small jav now :-s We need to get that specilization we had before but keep the majority of the new settings, prehaps blend in a bit of old setting goodness? Levis with fast bombs but slow turns was fun, the spider with stronger bursts coz it was fun to die to something so weak yet had some nasties on it etc. Dont bring back the old jav and weasel, allocate a specilized setting for the shark and generally get a good theme going again like it used to be! 17th Parallel used to be something different, unfortunatly it has lost a little something along the way but i still return to it time and time again. Something to me is missing, something prehaps large or even small needs to be tweaked or fiddeled with, to remind me of the special feel this zone used to have compared to so many others. -Röach

hmm maybe you guys are right. I usually use it for chasing or getting away form things, lil boost here and there but when your trying to attack a base, bouncing the bombs off walls is great and all but when it can sometimes push you around the corner its not so great lol. It has its negatives and positives, but it does tend to hinder a little in a base with alot of enemy players. And sever you aint saying i dont have enough experiance in a lanc are you?

Warbird: There either arent that many wb players that are good or there are too many because I cant think of one that stands out :-S Javelin: not sure at all! I know blazon is good at rumble lol but thats old jav. No idea but I wouldnt say lord of the lan... hes not that good O.o' Spider: Tempest= Leviathan: -Unsure- (I have once reahed 68-0 in the Levi before, but people like USS Vanquisher and a few of the other newbies seem to really be into the Levi) Terrier: Kwiast (sorry if i spelt Kwi's name wrong, forgot how the end goes >. I rate a good player by how many people they kill compared to the amount of deaths, sorry if that dont please you people, but if a person has alot of skill I respect them alot more than a pub player, so sorry kent you dont get the shark award.

Mad you say they were old complaints solved but they werent cause the thrust on the lanc when you fire the bomb is there. It doesnt matter about decreasing it, just get rid of it. It doesnt help in my opinion, it just hinders :S

possibly but I like it when i have it How about losing the thrust forward when you fire a lanc bomb? that just annoys me now

PHYRE! I had to witness that also, or rather my sis did lol. I was watching her type away at this guy who was complaining and moaning at everyone. E.g. 'GET THE BALL NEWBIE!' and 'God your all usless!' Hehe, kinda funny to see him typing this rubbish ^_^ and then he says he is a somebody in this zone, so asked how long he had been on 7th parallel he says 5 months. Thats the first time I or my sis have ever seen him on there O.o'

Just a aidea that game up in my head, mainly because when Infantry was in beta test (ah the good old days lol) they had similar schemes running there, but the people who play infantry and the people who play continuum are alot different than I once thought. I mean yeah it would help the zone but overall isnt the zone for the people? Make the zone better and you make the players happy (well 9 out of 10 times :-S) And something like bringing the zones together in a form of unity for all players to experiance different aspects and things of continuum seemed a possibility to me, prehaps its other games rubbing off me. Oh well, just thought i'll stick in some input

what is SSI? I seen things like SSX, SSN something or other?? they aint on my zone lists and i never heard of them before O.O
