Or maybe having no safes, a slightly complex east and west base, and flags in each base? Yeah sounds a better idea As I keep saying, the north base is providing pointless nothing but deterring the ball game, so lets put the flags in east and west (which proved very successful on a freaky friday) and incorperate the 2.

I agree with this, if im reading this right. Can we make our 'ships' look like more realistic persons, etc. Like Metal gear but better graphics lol. Steal something from Infantry xD (Sorry for double post but Im too lazy to edit)

Hehe Void, good call but this is where 17th experiance comes into things. 17th is BUILT around the Jav as much as I hate to say it -.-' Seriously, if Vile made Jav the newbie ship (which it is ) and made the warbird have the sets and the wb have jav sets ALOT (and I mean alot!) of people would complain! Why? Because 17th is 3 quaters newbs, and 1 quater Javelin Vets, yet those Vets keep our leagues going, and we wouldn't want to piss them off (THAT!) much hehe. Newbs who come here just need to learn, and 17th will have a learning curve on it for most to learn at a suitable level. Don't worry about which ship is supposed to act like (like wb to jav) Vile has enough experiance this side of things to know how far to take things. As much as Vile as annoyed alot of people and changed alot of things he some say should not of, he has the right mind and the right experiance. Im putting trust in him NOT to screw my Lancaster over, so we all have to put trust in him to make this zone back to the killer it was.

No. My reasons for this? Give it a week (two at most) and I see it as dead as the first. Why? Because truthfully it offers them cheap kills (yes we know some like that ) but also I still think it deters from the soccer game (as does current north base quite a little :S ). We need to have two bases, both complex to a point but give us a nice paced, learning curve based area from whch flags and a ball game can be played in each one and both are East and West (no north/south disadvantage from players view) and although yours provides some countless and rather pointless hours of enjoyment and fun complaining, it isn't what we are looking for in 17th I reckon, but then again since when have I been listened to by staff? Oh wait I havn't! Maybe thats why things take alot longer to filter through sometimes -.-' Don't want to put you down matrix, just I see prehaps northbase as a basing event like in TW or something rather than a prob pub map.

Cause im an idiot Matrix I played the map for like 5 minutes and was in an angry mood already. I apologize for my first comment upon the map, it was only until I played it again that I saw more about it. And Ricebowl, you just earned yourself a permanent entry upon my ignore list on the forum and on continuum also because im nice Good day to you -*BAD WORD*- And I stand by my second entry upon the map now matrix although I do not agree upon raising bounce price again, but I still say it drains away the role of 17th at the moment.

Advertising! BAN! And Rix, how about something like freezing the ships movement and arming them with rockets? Or ~Taking an idea from Infantry and there -*BAD WORD*-ty boomball game~ have sectioned off areas of the map where a ship inside a area can move only in that area (Sectioned off with walls) which the ships can not p!@#$%^&* through but the ball can. I dont know if SS can do this; Infantry was able to restrict where a player could go but the ball could go anywhere.

I understand where your coming from Talion, but the north base has one major problem. It drives away the soccer game into flagging and visa versa. Either one game is played or the other, which maybe isnt so bad I suppose, variety is nice in ways like that, but have we not been trying to focus upon one aspect of 17th and expand it? This puts conflict into the equasion and creates more diversity than needed. If we expand the east and west bases enough to make them tactical, fun and not too difficult to navigate around (As in make sure the walls arent ridicously small and tight (One of the problems I have with the main tuge but i'll come back to that) and keep both the flagging and soccer game going together as one, then I think we will keep the fun we had last night for a long time to come by placing the flags in certain positions around the large east and west bases. Instead of driving the game into different directions like Extreme Games (Which we are trying to break away from after Zekes interferance) we combine the two ideas and even the north map into ideas for the east and west base. Now the problem I have with the main tube is that its too thin, but for driving through? no, -*BAD WORD*- I have no problem with it. Its the bombs and such. A stable team (or alot of javs with bounce) can defend the tube so easy its a joke, with allowing no movement through. So your freezing out part of the base already with only a few ways to advance also through that tube (bricks) which can be counted. The side entrances I do not mind as much although irrating they are when your team cant drive around them comfortably (should of seen last night! Jesus lol Think it was only me and Mav NOT being slowed down through the base) and with the inter sections linked, yes it works, but for how long I wonder? Maybe adding other entrances and such like you suggested would be a better idea, not sure as of yet. Finally the WORST problem of this north base is BOUNCE! What I saw last night was the complete ownage of Sharks and Javelins upon everything else. Lancaster was no longer one of the main competetors of base; it was the Javelin... how? Because you stick something which fires a ridiculous amount of bullets, with bounce, in a small confined area!!!! Last night I witnessed 2 javelins and 2 sharks hold off a team of 10. Why? Because they had bounce, they had bricks, they had so much fire power down the tunnels you couldnt advance without dieing (And alot DID die) which then going back to your comment of Thors; Thors do not do THAT much damage, especially when A Javelin only needs to release 500 odd energy in the base to kill someone because the bullets hit hard and fast. Throw in some shields, a super here and there? and you have something truely scary, and I saw it yeserday. Thats my main problem with it, the potential for a few ships to own everything with one special upgrade. The map has potential to give ideas, but NOT to be included in our final design of our map.

Just played the north base. Someone hit matrix, really... That is THE WORST Base I have EVER seen... Jesus what a numpty. Too much stupid manovering around considering we cant hit 30 people in pub Even more stupid entrances Spider heaven? Pfft more like any ship armed with bounce heaven. Remove it like NOW! Worst Freaky Friday map... EVER!
