    An Idea

I would suggest adding another sysop to the development team then, as things are going too slowly. - Z
  2. It could be said that in the US, Christians are right. True or not, it could be said. - Z
  3. lol whats that spoce to mean... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I said "average." - Z
  4. But really, law-suits? Christain groups at it again. Do these people have less of a life than your average Continuum player? - Z

    An Idea

It kind of helps to have access to the 'net, wouldn't you think? Plus at the library they've disabled most everything. - Z

    Wish I could be there. - Z
  7. I learned how to do settings in about 4 months, with the exception of the latency sets. Though, doing a good job at making a compatable set is tough. I had the honor of getting the old sets in a private arena, and slowly developing them... but that was after I started two other arenas from scratch. If you know what you want each ship to do though, you shouldn't have too much trouble with the settings. - Z
  8. Bomb prox is a universal setting, if I recall correct... the only way to enlarge the bomb prox by ship is to give it a higher level bomb. - Z

    Leader OPD

Without 'net access at home, I'd have to decline, plus if I was the leader, I'd probly be in my tiny ol' arena doing tiny fixes until I had them the way the settings were when I left, give or take - Z

    Leader OPD

As cynical as this will sound, I believe that if you are going to develop new ship settings, the leader in question would have to be the sysop in charge of implimenting them. But I always felt that a strong zone didn't answer settings complaints that the majority of staff didn't have a hand in making. The sysops were there to make the zone and make it work, when it worked, that was final. But that's just my standpoint. As a leader of a development team, I would put my trust in an older vet such as Manus. - Z
  11. One small pot, 3/4 full of water. Put in the ramen, let is boil until it's just right, not too long though, then it'll absorb too much. Drain, add spices, enjoy in the pot or bowl. - Z
  12. Even if I wanted to come back, I can't, at least no time in the immidiate future. I've only joined here because I care about the zone, and I wanted to be a back-up in case clarification of settings needed to be done. I don't wish to speak of when I was in charge of pub, and I thank you for your compliments, but time marches on, and it would be nice that I had something to come back for. That's a pretty good point Manus, I didn't think of that when I wrote my post. Maybe disposable specials should be greened, while build up greens aren't... But you will still get people kami'ing just to attempt to get back to battle with specials. It's something that would need to be apart of the gameplay, greening takes time, time that could be in a war... - Z
  13. No wonder why all the complaints lately... the changes passed since I've left are horrid. My opinions (said in the voice of neutrality) are that: 1. Shields don't belong in 17th. Peeps tend to like the one-on-one aspect even in pub, shields tips a balance in favor way too heavily onto the one who greened/bought them. If they're going to be around, then make it a very low timer, such as 1.5-2 seconds. Enough to recover some life, but not nessicarally change the flow of a battle in progress. 2. When I came into the zones, there was a specific reason why only one ship had and could have Anti-Warp. I suggest it go back to that way, it gives the terrier a reason for existance, more than just a lame mine-rep machine. 3. I do not agree with the same ratio for disposable greens. Those that have a higher impact on a game in progress should be lowered. I suggest in this order the highest to lowest probable green to get. Decoy, repel, portal, burst, thor. My opinion though. Secondly I was never in favor personally, of SVS-style green-up for a ship. Even with the lanc's 31 shrap, it should start that way when it spawned. Greening takes the action away from basing which to me was the core area of the zone. 4. Agreed, though the levi had some good times with the brick as well. - Z
  14. Forget the May 5th elections, and come to Mexico for Cinco de Mayo! Last one there's paying the tab! At least, that's the party I'd vote for... - Z

  16. I found this checking my e-mail. Appearantly Japan wants a seat on the UN security council... sounds odd, but I don't live in China either. - Z
  17. It's good to know that as Americans, they can still admit there were screw ups. - Z

  19. That really pisses me off, Yahoo News. I still say, that the family of a wedded spouse deserves more call tan the spouse who wants that person to die. Her blood is on all the hands of her windower husband and the judges who would proclaim it's in the law to starve someone to death, if their wedded one so wished. Not even death row inmates would be starved to death. Way to go! Not bad for a country who would always claim to put life first. - Z
  20. You can't say that. Hydrogen fuel cells are already being developed, it's still in that kind of experimental state, but it's far far more efficient than gasohaul. And to say that the world doesn't have that calibur of person is short-sighted, simply because that person may or may not have been discovered by the public or hasn't reached potential. Science is a constant in this world where new things are tried and tested on a daily basis. Also the impact of hybrid (gas/electric) cars is being felt, with some models getting upwards of 70- miles/gal. - Z
  21. The problem with that is... Every enemy of God is human, that's all that has the brain capacity to worship Him. Now, to kill a human is to sin against God, such as to create a vortex of evil and sin. They do contradict themselves, in that, the Devil, as is, is only a spirit of wickedness. The Devil does not exist but in the heart of the man, who by definition is human, and to kill that of a man, is to kill the human and to sin... get it? Also, I am considered by some as an enemy of God, because I spread a word about keeping an open mind and saying that humanity is the dominate force in the world... There are no "higher powers" or "divine being" to me. If you killed me, you sin. - Z
  22. Ah, feel the love. - Z
  23. Satan never lies. He doesn't have to, we all know we live in !@#$%^&*. I talked with a religious guy the other day, he says that we all (humans on "Earth") didn't come from Adam and Eve, we are all desended from Abel, who was cast from Earth. We're not on Earth he told me, we're on Nod, and we're all imbred from primitives and the direct line of Abel... go figure! 25. Time to break this down, since I know arguing doesn't do much. I never said it was better than freedom, but some people might have a different prespective than I do. My freedom sucks, I don't even get 3 meals a day, nor can I afford cable TV. As stated, some people grow up in gang infested areas, where things like TV, daily security, even a roof over their heads isn't a guarantee, like it is in the Pen. Then why do we have a trial, and the laws that govern them? Isn't that what finding out guilt or innocence is about? Why waste the money years at a time, when schools are needing those funds to better school children, who in turn become those murderers? Why waste all the effort when it's a whole problem of society? Sadly that's a debatable theory. You're forgetting that the US has a president who'd say life is golden ordering other people who in turn kill innocents, be it by accident or not. You must live in the suburbs then... Where I grew up it wasn't all that intelligent, compassionate, nor progressing. That's why I used the qualifier some in my statement. Generalizing people on death row isn't something that should be done. I haven't watched TV in three years, seeing as I can't afford cable, and local channels don't come in with my rabbit ears. I live day to day with being abused as a child, and basically being an outcast from anyone until I was 16. I don't have any felonies on my records. Hurting other people is just an excuse to make oneself feel better, as opposed to dealing or handling a problem in a civilized manner. And you said I watched too much TV. The idea is to stop crime, not just say, "Hey good job, we'll put you in a room forever, pay for everything you need and we'll never see you again." Tax money that should be going to schools and other programs to help people are lost when we have to pay for someone to stay way from other people, that doesn't solve too much. The end result as I see it, is that we're sacrificing more than just one person, for each one we keep off the streets. A possible solution I saw came from a movie I saw, where the worst of the worst people in said society were forced into military service for their country, go figure. - Z P.S. Oh to put it simply, I support capital punishment, but only until another viable, economically sound alturnative is found.
