cuz nex is insane.

the zone is slowly recovering from this. nurples is doing his best to get the zone back into shape with what he has. some events settings are lost, and its hard to say if they will be able to recovery them.

it appears that only about 8 pages or so of the forum were removed, so we are now left looking about topics that have long since been dead. perhaps someone should continue to delete the rest of the old topics.. and then, come check out SSCC Killer Instinct

i believe nurples hosts that.. and if that's the case, i'm sure he'd be more than happy to continue to run it.

yeah, i apologize for that. but in any case, dark_nexus has begun deleting everything in the forum anyway, so it doesnt really matter.

those 3 maybe be the owners, but since ive been named hsysop, im the one running the zone. fortunately, i do have some help coming very shortly. all we need is !@#$%^&* population. we had some last night.. i posted about it in a separate topic.

actually thats not stupid, its one good technique. however, we already have a zone chat of which ppl are on, but only some come to the zone. not sure why they are on the chat if they dont plan to come visit or anything. but thats some good advice there, as is luco's response.

Anyone got any good ideas on getting ppl into KI and getting them to stay? we need as much help as possible. right now id like to put a major focus on pub, so if things need to be modified, we will consider that. let this be a suggestion topic, and not a flaming topic. if you dont agree with someone, just say you dont agree. we dont need you to put them down or har!@#$%^&* them just cuz you dont like their ideas or w/e. but please, any suggestions are welcome here so feel free to speak your mind.

if this were the case, the point of moving 17th to KI would not be to move 17th to KI.. just its players. perhaps pub would be used as a subarena or something, but the events would never fit with KI theme (mostly because most 17th events are single-ship, whereas KI is stressing to be entirely multi-ship). in any case, once MERC is up and running, nex will leave 17th. then you are left with kyla and cord. personally, i like cord and i think he could really have helped the zone but he was held back.. anyone who knows the story knows what im talking about. but its long since been "too little, too late" for 17th. theres not even one person u can point blame at for whats happened to 17th over the years. some say mike didnt do anything. others say vile fked everything up. a few might even say lyta may have begun the slow downfall. theres a lot of things that 17th has endured in the past, and at the time it seemed like 17th survived and came out unscathed, but underneath, it hadnt. the zone rarely exceeds 10 population, and when it does, realize that some are/were bots. others were black coyote, delic, and/or maynard who never seem to leave. but back to KI.. since this is the KI forum. you ppl really should give KI a chance. its not some thrown together, quickie job or anything. ive personally been working hard on the zone for the past 3+ weeks. there are events, but they are closed for the time being until there is some population to support them. we need players, and no ones even giving the zone a chance. now, i will say the ships are very similar, and i wasnt a big fan of them when i was first introduced to them. but ive played them when there has been a lot of ppl and it gets pretty fun. each ship does have its pluses, so they arent exactly the same. anyway, just come give a try will ya? unless ur on 56k, its hardly a download at all. sry 56k'ers.. but by now u should be used to long waits.. i had dialup for years.

KI has not been properly advertised, and i need help with that. but nobody is offering to do anything. you ppl do know 17th is shutting down right? also luco, when do u play on coming back to ss?

SSCC Killer Instinct is ready for the public to enjoy! Come check it out! The gameplay is flagging/killing to upgrade your ship using the ?buy menu. Also, there is a spree feature on the bot, and at each spree level you will be rewarded with prizes to upgrade your ship as well. We already have some events up and running, including Duel (autohosted), Elim (autohosted), and 4v4 (manually hosted). The zone is based off of the Super Nintendo video game Killer Instinct, and some graphics from the game have been included. It's a total download of 1727kb, but completely worth it. Come give it a try!

caress rarely visits forums anyway, as well as the game. you will have a hard time contacting her, as she only stays online for a few minutes when she does log on. perhaps if youve made it public business that you need to contact her instead of by private message, perhaps you could share with the world what it is that you have to say concerning caress? probably not, but perhaps? ok ok thats fine, but maybe? alright alright, please? ok. yeah. cmon?

you are naive. 17th didnt come up with these events. 4v4 is a basic match. its in a lot of zones. elim... duh? duel... duh? and 17th never had a challengebot plugin before. are you trying to be a carbon copy of delic?

as far as the zone dying off, keep faith. im currently working on improving pub and finishing (need help mmav) the challengebot plugin. on top of that, duel has been up and running, a 4v4 event is up, just needs to have a host and ill spawn a bot for the hosting commands, and i have an elim map up, and am gonna find a bot plugin to autohost it. since ki is very new, just give it some time, its still in development stages, but it wont be forever!

i can help out too when i have time, but i dunno if i will since ive dedicated myself to bots lately and im gonna get back to doing my dev stuff afterward/during. i got asp, jsp, java, and a little php.

no offense mmav, but a couple ppl were chatting on one of my chats and they brought up a good point.. didnt you make most of those rules? :/

the whole atmosphere in KI is just so much funner and friendlier, and fresh. having tons of fun for the first time in months!
