  1. 800MHz minimum requirement to run Continuum? :S make that 300 or something During my glorious days as a lanc pilot, I was on a 550MHz, and the CPU never was an issue Looks nice though Found a little capitalization inconsistency in the !@#$%^&*les in 'Continuum': So what is Continuum? Elaborate Server Graphics Replacements So Why Download It? true For the screenshots, would be nice to have one shown large (or full size), and you can click others to see them, and it wouldn't reload the whole page (not sure if that's what you guys just talked about with the thumbnail things, but anyway)
  2. Well, if anything, it's the color that would make it cost more, not whether it is a pic or simple text... Just a theory, anyway.
  3. Check your Continuum\Graphics folder, and open some of the files in there. You can safely rename them from .bm2 to .bmp. Basically, all the animation frames are in the bmp, tiled horizontally and vertically. In the ini file, you only have to specify the number of horizontal and vertical frames in the bitmap. If your 800x613 animation has a lot of frames, I'd try to think of another way, cause it will become a huge 20000x20000 bitmap I suggest you split your animation to make several small animations. They can be started at the same time to be synchronized.
  4. Well, I meant like if you draw an horizontal tile, it would handle rotating the graphic to create a vertical tile. So you'd just give the program the graphic of one tile, and it would draw any other tiles with it.
  5. Hmmm... I missed that. They aired the whole lift-off + them getting all the way up? sounds cool... Can't find on youtube
  6. The classic: "Meet people from all over the world..." "Then kill them!" would work too, maybe with a small ship graphic somewhere Also, if it's just white text, I suppose the t-shirt will cost less?
  7. orly?? I only played the cracked Subspace 1.34 or something for a short while... That's awesome lol... gotta try that
  8. Last weekend was pretty ugly over here... Snowstorm + freezing rain + rush hour at Montreal. We had to go 60 on the highway (60 km/h, metric system !@#$%^&*!) (Outside the city, of course... downtown Montreal was all jammed in traffic) :/

  10. Basically, you want to know about the file format? Which language do you plan to use? DCME (and CLT) does have a walltile feature, that allows you to tile bases quickly. However, the feature is quite limited... Also, what would be nice is if the program handled itself the rotation of the tile graphics and such... I was looking forward to redo the whole walltile feature in DCME. There is also a feature to generate a walltile set, but again, it is very limited and only does a bunch of rotation and flips. If you can come up with algorythms that do all that nicely, would be great... I might be tempted to port them in DCME as well . DCME is in VB6 by the way.
  11. It was knight who was talking about what they do on MG forums
  12. MGB.com is back up topic closed
  13. Apparently...
  14. It was on my computer... got it from old 17th Parallel staff. I remember it was used there back in the day.
  15. Chat 8 is read-only when you have staff powers... don't ask me why :S
  16. What if the request packet gets lost or something?
  17. wtf, that thing is... an animated jpg?

  19. Try this out: I think it only handles duels to 1 death... so it's just a bracket elimination match. I don't have the source for it. I didn't make it either... it was probably made by MMaverick or Explody thingy. You could see it with !about Brackets.zip
  20. SVN still works for me... ...holy.. lots of updates lol... 3MB's of stuff... still updating 7MB... I'll give you the URL once it's done... if it ever finishes ok, 12MB of stuff https://ss-discretion.svn.sourceforge.net/s...t/ss-discretion https://ss-discretion.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/ss-discretion
  21. Continuum's volume control does really suck. However, you might want to try to ?sound=2, then ?sound=1 again. When I start, the volume of a couple of things are set to maximum, whatever the current ?sound level is... For example, wall bumping sounds will be super loud, while mine-laying sound will be at 1. So I just set the sound again. Don't know if this happens to other people too... But it happened on the 2 comps I played on, so it probably is a common bug.
  22. Does it still exist? It's red on my list... only the ASSS one shows up. Normally I'd just use 17th, but it's down at the moment
  23. Yeah right
  24. What's with the cheating crap? What happened?
  25. Don't leave the game to make macros. Just type your macros and hit the macro button instead of pressing Enter to store the macro. ?savemacro [macroname] and ?loadmacro [macroname] also allows you to save/load complete macro sets.
