Has anyone else noticed lately how many games are now on steam? I guess Valve must have be doing something right. Sometimes I wish there was a way to get Continuum on there, but they just don't like the whole legality mess of it all. Or didn't when I tried a few years ago. And then now we have no more updates in sight, if ever again, no way we could get it setup to work with Continuum. Even trying to load continuum through Steam as an add-on game just causes it to not load or crash steam for most people... Oh well. Now to play some Team Fortress...

Every zone in SubSpace follows the same pub format: One map for two weeks, score reset and map change, rinse lather repeat. With ASSS, we have the opportunity to change the map and settings in an arena without having to disconnect all the players. With this, we can have new ways to keep pub interesting and fresh. 6-12 maps in pub rotation Players vote on a new map every 30-60 minutes If flag game isn't finished when the map timer runs out, go to sudden death (disable respawning). After 5 minutes of sudden death, if flag game is not won, freq with most flags wins. Map changes, players download new map, game waits for a few minutes to allow players time to download. Flag…

I'm getting this game for christmas. I always get excited when it comes to Tomb Raider games. I was just looking on youtube at people playing the first Tomb Raider, i'm so tempted to get all of them and complete them all again. I can;t remember what was the hard one though, was it number 3? Anyway I downloaded the demo for this game. It looks really cool, it shows how far games have come. (back in the first tomb raider where she has triangular tits, guess she must have been cold all the time) The demo starts off on a bit with a boat and you got to jump in the water and find out where to go, this alone took me 15 minutes. Guess I have lost my touch with it. Anyone go…

Ive been looking to get into an mmorpg again recently, dont know why, i think its because ive got some time to burn, and i know that MMORPG's are the big killer on that subject. Anyway, things im looking for: Not WoW, not maplestory, stop suggesting them. For some reason, I really like pristontale. The world map wasnt too big, skills and classes were simple. It was a very simple game to play. At the time, the graphics were pretty nice, now, they are kinda lame, but hey, all that doesnt matter to me, simplicity is what im aiming for. I dont want to need to read sites and forums for 6 hours to figure out how to do certain shit, its annoying. RagOnline was ok for me, but…

from other topic: this seems stupid to me. religious beliefs don't give you permission to be incompetent. If i had a religious belief that prevented me from bringing my sick children to the hospital, I would undoubtedly be prosecuted for homicide when they die. when people go to a licensed doctor they expect to be given unbiased medical opinions. i've heard cases where doctors/nurses wouldn't bring up abortion as a possible option because they felt it was morally wrong. They wouldn't refer you to another doctor since this would accomplish the same thing as telling the patient about their medical options. if you go to a doctor and he doesn't give you the medic…

Could I get a zone forum for ASWZ? Complete zone name: SSXA A Small WarZone Dev Forum Moderators: Hawkaloogie Password Protected: No It's called "Dev" for now, but that will go away once we have our production server hooked up. I'd like the forum now so I can have a place to discuss the development that will need to happen before a true release of the zone. Thanks

Link We've been hearing about this sort of thing for years (in fact, I'm pretty sure there was a topic about it here somewhere, just too lazy to look it up), but it sounds like the research is coming to a head,* with the primary conclusion being that men are gonna be screwed** in the future. As I happen to own an extensive textbook on pediatrics which devotes several dozen pages to intersexual cases, I must say that this is pretty fricking scary. Thoughts? *yes, that's a pun, albeit an unfunny one. **again, yes.

We programmed this little robot in our microelectronics class... It uses a 68HCS12 Motorola microcontroller, and it's programmed in assembly. It has 3 sensors on the front, and it basically just avoids obstacles. It uses fuzzy logic to determine the direction, using the sensors as inputs. Long story short, I went off to basic training in Feb of 04, got back late in June of 04 and ASWZ, along with Dueling Arizona were completely gone. This prompted my quiet retirement and feeble attempt at finding something equally as enjoyable. Other than Halo 2, I have pretty much given up gaming all together. This is a roll call for you other orphaned ASWZers. What zones are you playing now? Any word on ASWZ being revived?

The guys making Black Mesa (aka Black Mesa: Source) put out an official trailer, in which it says it will be out in 2009 For those who don't know, it's a remake of Half-Life 1 with the Source engine used in Half-Life 2. Valve did make Half-Life: Source a while ago, but they didn't even improve the graphics or anything, they just ported the old game to the source engine, with perhaps a few minor improvements. Black Mesa, however, is a complete remake with brand new graphics, but the game itself should remain pretty much the same, except perhaps for a few surprises now possible with the Source engine. oGlhgVz5r6Ehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGlhgVz5r6E http://www.b…

Downloaded it to the PC, the controls are shitty cuz its on a keyboard, but god, i cant begin to explain how fucking beautiful it looks. Im in LOVE with the graphics, if every game looked like this, id be in heaven. Played the first 30 minutes of it, seems pretty good. But honestly, i just cant stop thinking about how gorgeous this game is. You guys should really look into/download/buy it. I recommend it. Btw, it doesnt look realistic, its not like Crysis beautiful, its like...i THINK okami has this type of graphics? Or something like Tenkaichi's graphics. Check it out. Its worth at least looking at. EDIT: Set the game to work with my PS2 controller, it is officia…

How I loathe this bus strike...... http://toronto.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTV...81212/20081212/ It's gonna last a month most likely, and it's causing problems all around. Not only is it a huge hinderance on people, but traffic is an ass with 20% more vehicles on the road, and businesses are slowing down in a time when we'd expect shoppers to be all over the malls and such. That plus those bloody hippy bus strikers are picketing students at universities and colleges. Fuck them. I have exams to do; I swear I'll take their signs and beat them off the road one by one if I have to.

Alright guys, my website is www.op2rules.net Simple enough right? So anyways, I have a bunch of programs that I still have to put up, game etc, but I want to know if you guys have any more suggestions and things. The main idea of this website is to host useful free game/applications with well... everyone. The only thing that whatever you suggest has to be is either free, or can be put up there with the full version. You should also check the website out anyways It's actually pretty sweet!

After a rather long hiatus, the person who was formerly known as both "sknox" and "deadpigeon" (he knows who he is...) has gotten me back into SubSpace. Cutting to the chase: I want to implement a centralized (not a dirty word) statistics-gathering website. Be it useful or for my own amusement, I care not. The biggest goals for this project will be the immense scope of the statistics gathered, and the inclusion of Achievements. The lesser goals are syndication, SSTags, and re-branding for hosted zone solutions. Because of the statistics I want (a complete snapshot of the player's ship when they kill, die, pick flag, pick ball, drop flag, shoot ball, or game ends), I…
