Moral values 1 2 3 4

There are several books available today pointing out that America is struggling with a major moral dilemna. As more and more supreme court judges p!@#$%^&* decisions to allow things like gay marriage and homosexuality it seems America casts a deaf ear to it. Unfortunately, loss of moral values will lead to grave cir-*BAD WORD*-stances. If it's gay marriage today, will it be free sex in the streets tomorrow, then legalizing various forms of assault, then finding rights in the slaying of each other? Surely anyone can conceive where we could go in just a few short years without a fundamental grip on what is right and wrong. As I think about this I am concerned. I…

I think this crisis really needs to be discussed on this forum. Give your opinions on the extent of US/UN involvment there should be (humanitarian, military, or both). And can we please not turn this into a Bush/Kerry topic? This is a serious thing that shouldn't be degraded by politics. I'll be the first to say I'd never heard of Darfur before this came up and still don't know much about the region or Sudan or much of the political structure on the African continent. I heard mention of the African Union (is that right?) during the... 'talking thing' last night. Anyone know any good resources to see about the situation? My opinion is that it's probably going to ta…

I've been reading on the subject lately (very broadly) and to me, it seems like a good idea to boost economy, if applicated correctly. What are your views on an economic globalization? Good or bad thing? (by the way, if you happen to have some good links about it, I wouldn't say no to having them - thanks )

Who watched it? Before it started, I told myself I'd look at it from an objective point of view. My conclusion is, tonight, Kerry did a better job. One thing I'd reproach (sp?) him though, he should have tried to look at the camera once in a while. He defended himself well, had a good elocution and good gesture. Bush started on a good tone too, but as the debate was getting to an ending, it seemed to me he had difficulty defending himself - at some point he even diverted the discussion to something else - and he was taking way too many pauses to think about what he was going to say. An other thing I noticed, Kerry seemed in total control of himself while Bush was …

Education

With so many options available to parents with regard to education, I'm noticing that people are moving away from public education into other forms. Personally my brothers spent parts of their education in private schools, charter schools, and home schooling but they haven't been able to maintain minimum levels of math and history. The public schools seem to have been the best choice. Comments?

Subject - How to Map. Ok, many people sometimes come into MG or Trench Wars and ask "W0W!111!1!1!!! UBER MAP, HOWE U MAEK DAT MAP!1!?!11 HOW?!?!11?!1" Well, here is a little subject on how to map... by me. How to map - First what you first have to understand is to NOT make a tileset before you map. It only creates confusion. Now, open a new blank map with the original tileset there. When you first start to map, you might want some pointers - ~ Do not tileset correctly. So like, just choose 1 tile. And always map with it, until you have completly finished your map. But why? - Because it saves a -*BAD WORD*-load of time and work, easy to delete. ~ Don't star…

Well, for any of the Mystic Kingdom players out there, you should know with my little vacation, and Slicer's and Liquid's new college life, things have been tough. Luckily I have come back, on the other hand, our dev team is dead, fully dead. So I now search out for development members, to rebuild the dev team, and kick the MK2 project back into action. We need some of everything, I will help train you in how Mystic Kingdom works if you are new to it. Here is a more precise list of what we need: Graphics Artists: Our tileset for MK2 is pretty much done, but it does need some touch ups and also we will be needing someone for lvz effects. LVZ Know Hows: You have…

In one of these topics around here rose the question as to why the US, Spain, and Russia was attacked by Al Queda, and UK, Australia, France, and Germany was offered a truce and are exclusively attacked of foreign ground. So, what do the US, Spain, and Russia have in common that the UK, Australia, France and Germany do not have? The secret here is to think like Bin Laden. Ok, I'm a Islamic fundimentalist. I'm fundimentalist, so my political views are a few centuries out of date, and I'm religious, so I don't want to die for state sponsored or secular politics. So, what in history happend a few centuries ago and wasn't state sponsored? The Crusades fit both descrip…

Maher Arar please before flaming me for an anti-american, take some time to ponder this: I was watching the news today and came across this one (i'm looking for the english version but so far i've been unssucessful. I'll post the link as soon as i find one): This isn't the verbatim, just my translation... US gov basically told Can gov that it was expectating full disclosure of all canadian citizens files as canada effort in the war on terror. but: USA won't disclose what it does or how it interprets the data. USA won't be held responsible for actions or file on canadian citizens following a "guilty" or "suspicious" verdict. USA won't share informations with …

Leaving policital forum.

I've found that responding to this forum has become degrading, unsensible, and contrary to intellectual stimuli. Therefore I'm leaving. Anyone can post a link to a site supporting their opinion. There are sites for many sides of many stories. History tells us the most common truth about ourselves and those around us. If you sit there posting links, but deny historical truth, your simply barking up a tree. Spare yourself the anguish and express your free opinion. Some of you need to work on refraining from flaming others and keeping things within the subject matter. Many of you are twisting history similar to what Michael Moore does in his movies. When someone …

Direction of Social Security
by Guest Recombo- 5 replies

Today I listened to Pres. Bush strengthen his position on Social Security reform. Basically he would like to create some type of long term tax credit for generations younger than the baby boomers. This would mean that Social Security will essentially go away. Personally I have mixed feelings because I don't know the complete agenda. If it means that I will lose most of the SS benefits that I have paid with my work, I find it to be outlandish. Most working people have some type of retirement fund in place called a 401k or IRA. Would the government assign more tax credit? Undoubtably, we do need reform. I cannot understand how SS will make it through the next gene…

I don't go to Extreme Games, but today I felt like checking up to see what it was all about. In there, I found something that they set up quite recently. One of there pub arenas is devoted strictly to non-laggy players. That is one of the best ideas I've seen a zone staff establish. Cudos to whoever's idea it was. I think that you guys should go one step farther. Your packetloss requirements were low, and your zone is on that despicable piece of hardware known as the SSCX server. I found that my ploss was too high to play in EG. You should have another arena devoted to players that lag too much to meet your regular requirements. Instead the arena would have le…

It may be usefull if i was given power to moderate bug reporting as well as technical support. I often see simple tech support requests placed in bug reporting yet i cannot move them to their proper forum. At the moment these topics are pushing the true bug reports into a mess of tech support requests so if PrittK or any other devlopers do decide to read them they are looking for a needle in a haystack.
