Today I have rolled out a set of major new revisions to the bots. Please let me know of any anomalies that you see. Giving me the time and day could be helpful. Most of the changes are not externally apparent, however there are some nice new goodies already available. These features are still being developed and refined, and so, as always, feedback and suggestions are welcome. Streaks and sprees are being moved to permanent storage in the DB. This means you be able to look at your own, historic streak record, as well as the best streaks and sprees of the day, month, etc. With this rollout, streaks are completely reset! TRIVIA NIGHT will be Wednesdays at 10pm ET. I will be online before to remind people, but watch for the announcements. Generally, I will do 3 or 4 sets of 5 questions each. I would like to award each set winner with 100 bounty points, maybe more. If there is an OVERALL winner, i.e., someone who wins the most sets, we might give a rabbit bonus or the like. I played subspace a long time ago and then quit to play other games. I got the urge to play quite a while back, but could not remember the name of this game. Finally remembered and am so glad it's still alive!

So l tried to enter Chaos Zone and I get the message that my name 'Hitlers Oven' is obscene and restricted. What a joke? You must be joking right? Meanwhile people can fly around being a Penis or a Vagina, and talking about sex with 12 year olds. (Hece, Marbred) But sexually explicit names are fine because we are all adults? (Which by the way is not true) If you were adults there would be nothing wrong with my name. To me, seeing Penis in a name is more offensive. And IF we are going by what offends people. So if anyone remembers my last topic, I was asking how to get the most out of my accord. Well, sadly the most isn't much. I recently came into some money and want to work on this car, its a 2001 accord. I was thinking of swapping the engine and tranny out for a h22, and possibly dropping a turbo into it... Any suggestions? Estimates on how much it would cost? I'm good for about $7,000. But I would need a shop to install practically everything, as I don't have the tools necessary for the installation.

would it not make sense to merge all the zones as one ss game and just have different arenas with the relevant settings applicable to each zone? Atleast then there would be a good population and something going on, a community again, games, banter etc etc. The game is dying as it is now, but merging the zones the community will jel together and be like each zone was back when the stats were high, stuff going on all the time, players enjoying the different styles of gaming etc. Any discussion on this?

We have moved to a new server as SSL is shutting down in about a week. You can download the new server now, just click zones and then download a new list and look for SSN Tri-Sector. You may also add it manually by entering: server name: SSN Tri-Sector IP: 108.59.253.96 Port: 6014 You will have to create a new name because we are no longer connected to the central SSC billing server, nor will we be connecting any time soon. First off, long-time Subspace player, spent a lot of my years in Chaos zone where my favorite pastime was assembling cloak turrets while getting chased by frequencies of javelins. Because of these memories, I have always had this nagging feeling when I see what today's popular culture considers "gaming" - its a bunch of crap compared to subspace back in the early days of Chaos Zone. If anybody wants to take over the Linux server I use for hosting, give me a shout. I can downsize to make it an affordable $20 USD a month. I have other servers on my account, so I will probably need to contact support and switch everything over to another account. Will probably need to get PoLiX's approval as I guess he handles that stuff (but I think that means you just don't need to be a jackass). Inbox me. Sorry if spaced oddly, pasting it from e-mail lost the paragraph formatting. Was all just 1 big long sentence, though I think i fixed it. Sad but true. I did e-mail him back explaining what the servers were doing with the shared arenas and all, but sadly not the 1st time someone has messaged/e-mailed me about zones "faking" their population. Last Night I got a pm from Sofa King saying : Sofa King : Someone told me that you had Eth removed from Ratio. Sofa King : If you did I think thats really cool . Now I did not respond because I honestly did not know about Eth being removed until I checked .l o. But do you know who Sofa King is ?
