»SOS Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 This is the biggest known problem currently in Continuum and no conclusive fix exists. The fixes in the following topics work for some and don't for some. See the FAQ post first: Why won't Continuum start? And also:http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=6717http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=6937http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=6256 Quote

Trained Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 You might find problems with downloading maps using this process, another bug thats unfixable Quote
Guest SHRIKEE Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 crap game... it wont load for me either... just a guess but this started when win2k service pack 4 came out and the .39 continuum client but i think its stupid that a professional game developer who made it so far to create !@#$%^&*inuum cannot fix this... Plus its ridiculous that it just wont load on certain systems... not so professional after all? Anyway, not to be a !@#$%^&*... its a good game but the latest release is crap Quote
»Maverick Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 the latest release (Continuum .39) is a PRERELEASE. its not an actual, official, release. Continuum .38 is way more stable, however Continuum .39 has some bugs fixed wich .38 doesn't have. Furthermore, Continuum .38 was released and developed some time ago, when the computers ran windows 98. Further development on this has stopped to the point that nobody is hearing from the main developer, Priit K. So that explains recent problems with the game. Quote
Guest Guest Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 but still all old games from the win98 age are just working fine except for .38 ór .39... i tried both now... Quote
Bajan Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 there is no majorly active "development team" working on Continuum, the game is completely run by volunteers. The last Major chnages to this client would have been around 1997 sort of time. Compatibility has never seemed to be a major issue with this game, i have found this game to work perfectly on every configuration of Windows I have run it on, Windows 9X through 2000 and XP. It is possible that installing a service pack onto a PC with installed applications, can stop them from working correctly. 0.35 released 1999 0.36 released 2000 0.37 released 2001 0.38 released 2003 0.39pr1 relased 2004 Quote
»SOS Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 Your dates are wrong. 0.35 was released mid or late 2001. 0.36 shortly after. Quote
