shark 40 bounty crap!

we are having enough troubles getting people to attach when someone calls as it is... what actual purpose is raising sharks bounty to attach by 9 points, other than to stop my bricking? 32 or 33 is a lot more understandable.

if people have to work so much to attach to someone, they are going to fly in the middle and kill instead. im not trying to defend my rights to brick (though its an advantage through this), but I for one hate the center killers... which makes it even worse, you have to fly in the center for so long gaining bounty, and in that time your attacked!

 

i demand to hear Meodea's response on this!

 

 

and just to ask: is this one of those 2 week trial things, or permanent?

Yeah the spider is totally -*BAD WORD*-ed up too. I don't know what the bounty is to attach but I do know that it blows donkeys when the enemy is about to score and you want to attach to burst and it won't let you. 17th gets worse and worse EVERYDAY! Who is doing all this? Vile? Dammit, 17th should be a democracy, not a dictatorship. Why not have the votebot thing come back so we can vote on all the changes beforehand?

i just tested something... its faster to fly the shark all the way to the enemy base, then it is to gain 10 bounty points. screw attaching.

A wise man named Night Dragon once said something like, "making ships weaker or basic operations harder just causes people to get upset and makes gameplay less enjoyable" and its completely true. If anything about any ship seems too good at times then make other ships better to counter the problem instead of taking the easy route and removing something or changing to make a ship weaker.

Jim don't be silly. Any change in either direction of the power balance will piss people off. What you're suggesting is 17th should progress to become a supership zone as we up the settings until they're balanced. BAD idea.

Yes it was my fault and I'll justify it: teams now have to GREEN again. You can't just hammer the attach button anymore. Enemies stay dead for a certain amount of down time. Skilled special users like spiders and sharks that stay alive get a constant supply due to increased greening. Its not a penaulty, its just a shift back to the old gameplay style and I like it.

I think that using a higher bounty to prevent people from attaching quickly is smart..... and the fact that no one can make a clear case as to why it's a bad thing means it's probably a good idea.

 

I would observe, however, which ships tend to get used the most, and which do not. Why are some being neglected? I see wb, lev, and spider being used the most. Am I wrong?

Attaching quickly makes the long goal room battles more intense. They used to go on for quite a while. The increased bounty requirements have done nothing but aggravate players, like me, who like constant action. There was nothing wrong with the previous bounty requirements and I don't remember anyone complaining about them.

 

By the way why can't WB's buy brick anymore?

I disagree with your view on base battles. They weren't intense, they were simply a deadlock with people hammering F7 and unloading all their weapons in the shortest time possible before dying. Now the base battles are tense because you don't know when re-inforcements will arrive and that each death is going to cost you. In my opinion this means more skill is involved and more thought goes into how you kill your opposition. It also makes spider/terrier/shark rushing less feasible. Is it really that fun playing who can brick furthest? This style of gameplay can be found in many other zones such as EG. I don't see why any player would enter 17th for pure action given the choices availible.

Your the only bricker? where the -*BAD WORD*- you get that from? Just cause you brick more than others doesnt make you the only bricker. Dont think everything shark related revolves around you.

lol wtf so you forgot about me already? Yea im not sure about the 40 bty either.. but hey i like to try new things... 40 bty hasn't stopped me from bricking the entrance or anything more... but i do think the ships with 40 bty should get more specials, just to even it out
